2002 Lexus RX 300 consumer reviews

The 1999-2003 RX300s have a weakness in the transaxle or transmission system. The same used for the Toyota Camry was used in this heavier vehicle and it is not reliable. Mine is going out at 111,000 miles. This vehicle is in excellent shape and has been maintained by Lexus technicians. Some lose reverse, some 2nd to 3rd and some 3rd to overdrive. Check the transmission fluid before buying. It should be clear of any metal flecks and pink in color.

I bought it after thorough research. Sold from just a test drive! But it wasn't until an accident (Car was totaled!)I really could say I am SOLD. The exterior crumpled like they said it would with NO interior damage. We walked away with no major injuries.

Bought used and have not had any problems. Great styling and comfort. Good on gas and feels like driving a car not an suv. Great buy for a family of four.

I have owned my 1999 Lexus RX for 5 years and it was a 2WD, but it was great in the snow. My 2002 RX is AWD, and is even better in the snow. I would recomend this car to everybody.

This is the first Lexus I have owned, I can honestly say this is not a car it is a machine. Its hard to say the quality checks this vehicle had to pass to be this condition when I purchased it used.
