This car came out the year I was born and my mom bought

This car came out the year I was born and my mom bought it. Drove it for 12 years and then my dad took over until I got my license at 16. I drove it for 3, dad drove it for another 4 after and I just took it over again almost 24 years later. 222k miles on it and it’s still getting 25 MPG for highway miles. I was not easy on this car especially in my teenage years and it has never given any of my family a problem other than the normal wear and tear expected from a 20+ year old car. There’s a few kinks, the all door lock button stopped working about 10 years ago so it’s gotta be done manually and the windows get stuck. It’s burning oil a little faster than it used to now but I’ve got pretty a good confidence I’ll get to see it through to 300k miles.

Best car ever

Car checked all the boxes for me. I will definitely be a long time costumer because of the experience I had with Lexus. From the color of the car to the interior.

1000 miles > 250,000 currently

The 2001 Lexus RX300 is a great vehicle. We bought it brand new in 2001, a dark cobalt blue which is rather rare. In 19 years we have had zero problems with it until recently when the transmission needed work but that was after 250,000 miles had been placed on the vehicle. My parents bought it my sophomore year in high school because my dad and I were traveling the snowy mountain passes to ski each weekend at Mt. Bachelor (a 3hr drive from Eugene), and did so with ease and comfort. Large roomy interior, but back seats can be stiff, however, they recline making it more enjoyable for road trips. Practical luxury that isn't too in your face.

Great SUV.

We have had this SUV since 2004 and 36000 miles. Never a problem, just usual maintenance. Wonderful ride, great Bose sound system, very large cargo capacity. Don’t want to sell as we all love it but I inherited a 2009 Camry with half the miles so “old blue” has to go. Excellent tires. Just serviced on 12/20/19. Have all the service records since purchased from Lexus of Valencia off a lease trade in.

Good when not broken

This car drives great, it has plenty of room, and the gas mileage is fairly good especially for this car being AWD. However, a few months after purchasing this car the timing belt went, when I bought the car it had over 100,000 miles on it so that is semi-normal. After this though the car has been broken since. The check engine light is on and driving it on the highway is not possible anymore. My mechanics have been working on it and now I need to go to the dealership for a special scanner to see what is wrong. Overall when this car is good its great but I've had many problems with mine.

I kinda like it

Lots of room. Quiet. Silky power. I?d buy another. Good looks. Nice visibility. It has all the toys. Gas mileage isn?t a reason to buy his vehicle.

Loved the SUV except for having bad transmissions

Really liked the SUV but they have bad transmissions in them and are expensive to replace, wouldn't ever consider buying another Lexus for that reason.

Reliable, stylish, comfortable

This car is a great family car. Love the brake system. Felt very safe which was important as it carried two children. The only issue with Lexus is it is expensive upkeep, but definitely worth the peace of mind one has when driving. Paint has held up remarkably well. Tires always lasted well, good mileage for the vehicle.

Most reliable car i've owned and comfortable.

Lexus makes a wonderful product and they stand behind the quality of their vehicles. I have been very pleased with the drivability, handling, and durability of this vehicle.
