Great Value for the Money

The Lexus GS300 received a major face lift in 2006. The styling is very unique and contemporary. The power is more than adequate and the ride very luxurious. The great gas mileage was a big pleasant surprise. After much investigating, I found out that this car blows the European cars out of water when it comes to maintenance, reliability, ride comforts and features. I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase a used luxury vehicle to consider the Lexus GS300.

2006 Lexus - A great buy

Purchased a used 2006 Lexus GS 300 at a great price from a Lexus dealer. The interior and exterior were in like new condition, I do not believe anyone ever sat in the rear seats.

LUV LUV MY GS 300

I've had my GS for almost 4 years. It is fabulous. Never had a problem!! It drives like a dream, handles great in bad weather and although pricey, you really get a quality vehicle. I would not part with mine. Too bad some people had problems. Can happen with any car. Had a BMW 5 series and it was a total LEMON!!! Sold it and got my Lexus and I've been problem free ever since. AMAZING CAR!!

Smooth

What I did not like about the car is: !. A slight noise coming from the psg side engine. 2. Transmission has a shifting issues a between 1st and 3rd gears. 3. Throttle has a lag time 4. Brakes seem to crab suddenly when applying hard other then these minor issues the car is very nice.

LEXUS 300 2006

MY LEASE IS JUST ABOUT UP. I CAN NOT PART WITH MY CAR. THE TIRES ARE PRICEY BUT WELL WORTH IT. ITS TOTALLY LOADED. I SHOPPED AROUND FOR OTHER CARS BUT FOR THE MONEY IM GOING TO PURCHASE THE CAR. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE INTERIOR LIGHTING IS TOO DIM. IT HANDLES GREAT AND IS WONDERFUL TO DRIVE. MY HUSBAND INSISTED ON THESE DARK GREY RIMS ON THE BLACK ONX PAINT, IT REMINDS US OF THE BAT MOBILE. ENOUGH ALL READY ITS A NICE CAR.

Definitely a keeper

First, the disappointments: (1) AWD transmission sticks in low gears during the first quarter mile of a cold start, (2) Steering feel is lacking, unless you watch the road, you can easily veer away from a straight line, my Mercedes would stay the course no matter what, I guess I miss that. (3) The transmission has a mind of its own when it downshifts, instead of downshifting one gear, it may downshift two or three gears, it doesn't affect performance or driving pleasure, but I sure would like to be in control of the gear box, especially since Lexus offers the S-mode of shifting. On the plus side, I love the size of the car, the styling, the trunk is useless but for a few bags of groceries, but that's OK, the car corners like it's on rails, and had a tire squeak only once in 18 months of driving. Burned half a quart of oil the first 5000 miles, and now does not touch a drop, gas mileage averaged 27 last year, although I did mostly highway driving at 60-75 mph. Overall, happy with it, was thinking of a bigger engine, but the reviews of the 2007 GS350 do not impress me. Will stick with my 2006. By the way, I tried to go up an icy hill last Winter and since the wheels were slipping, I unconsciously gunned the engine, well the engine did not rev-up when I pushed on the gas pedal and the wheels kept rotating but at a slow rate, eventually the car found its footing. I was truly impressed with the VSC controller of my Lexus.

GS300 Rocks

I leased my GS 300 this past March and overall I am very happy with the vehicle. At the beginning the power was not very visible but after the 5,000 mile mark, it became more responsive. The steering is tight and cornering is good, not what I expected from a performance car though. When I was searching for a car I also researched the Infiniti M35x, and yes the M is slightly more powerful and has slightly better handling, but it is also not as luxury as one would want a $50,000 car to be. The Lexus is loaded with more luxury features, trim and seats. Overall I am very happy I chose the GS.

after one year of ownership, very satisfied

have had many luxury cars in the past eg. BMW, Mercedes etc....and have found this one to excel the others. Very reliable, relatively no problems, have to read the manual to understand all the features such as voice control, GPS system etc. Found the dealer and service excellent, with no problems getting a free loaner car when you need service that will take more than a couple of hours. But one warning....my car is AWD....and never never attempt to drive in any kind of winter weather with their high performance tires. It is terrifying. You MUST have either all weather tires or winter tires as I do.

QUALITY CAR

This car is amazing. It feels like I am driving on air. It's like driving a sport car and luxury car in one. Holds the road perfectly. Fantastic in bad weather with the AWD. Instrumentation is very accessible and easy to use. Navigation is easy to use as is Bluetooth. Overall FABULOUS.
