LR4 Model

This vehicle was last produced in 2016, an LR4 HSE. That is a shame as it is one of the best models in the lineup. Unless it comes back I will move onto my next car and buy a BMW 750i. I understand the once produced Defender is making a return in 2020. This vehicle appears to be similar to the LR4. We'll see how it looks and performs.

Most Capable Car I've Owned

This car is fantastic - I was able to fit three large car seats across the middle row, and have ample room for two adults in the third row and baby stuff in the cargo area. She drove perfectly with a great ride. She has great ground clearance and terrain selection. Perhaps not a Lambo in the corners, but can certainly handle any road condition. She has great presence on the road.

Tire Eater

This vehicle is not very fuel efficient and is very hard on tires. We are on our second set of tires and have less than 40k original miles.

most versatile vehicle for my family

The vehicle allows the room and the luxury I like as well as ability to be off road when I want to. Also easy to travel with the dog.

Best Land Rover I’ve owned!

This vehicle is so smooth to drive, so. Comfortable and capable. They no longer make the LR4 sadly! They are a dream and have enough room for everyone and have the style and class you expect from Land Rover.

A real SUV

Comfortable and capable. More reliable than the automotive press would have you believe. Enjoyed owning this car. Quiet, fast, fun, smooth. Repairs can be costly when they happen.

Rides well for a truck based SUV!

Love the classic box, utilitarian look of this vehicle. Too bad they retired this model and replaced it with a Ford Explorer look-a-like! Test drove this vehicle in off road mode and it handled really well. Such a stable vehicle. Now just gotta find a model in the right color with heavy duty package!

the last of a breed !

most of the great off road capable vehicles are extinct today. Hummer H1; Defender 90 and 110; and now the LR 4. Why Land Rover has morphed into an undefinable genre escapes me. I thought they went awry when they killed the 8 cyl. So, I purchased the last of the great ones (albeit without the heavy duty package) which I hope to enjoy for many years.
