Decent car

Bought the 2007 EX model new in 2008. Has 95000 miles on it. Overall reliable car. I've had to change the battery once. Speakers blew out about 3 years ago though. Also driver's seat automatic adjustment levers stopped working. Unfortunately all the warranties have expired so I've just been dealing with it. Apart from those things though, I've had to change tires multiple times and brake switch I suppose our standard width excessive City driving. I will say though that in 2012, there was something that had to be recalled on that particular model that's affected the engine and I did have the engine momentarily stall on me. The dealer took care of it and I did not have any engine problems since. I mean issue in my particular region has been terrible customer service at the dealership. I suppose that is a regional thing and not necessarily Kia's fault. Overall it has been a reliable car that I have driven for 12 years now, including long Interstate distances.

Beware of recalls!!

Bought my 2007 Kia Optima LX 5 years ago. I had no issues with the car until last year when the ignition key seized up and I was unable to turn it to start my car. Last week I was involved in a car accident. My air bags didn’t deploy!! After researching this on the NHTSA website looking for recalls that my 2007 was part of. I would NOT buy ANY Kia or Hyundai (they’re the same company) until you THOROUGHLY research your car for recalls NO MATTER HOW NICE IT LOOKS, FEELS, WHAT THE DEALER TELLS YOU!! Good luck!!

This car has been a major blessing for me!!

This vehicle has been an extreme blessing to me. I bought it from a friend with 169 thousand miles about 9 mons ago and now it has 182 thousand and still pushing like a champ! I drove my daughter to college and have been there several times back n forth and I've driven it to Orlando, Florida. Only thing I've had to do to this car is oil changes, tune up, 2 new tires, and replace bulbs a few times. It had minor electrical problems but by the grace of God I was able to get through with it. I am moving up to a bigger vehicle in a couple of weeks and my kia will be sold to my good friend and must say he will be highly blessed with this kia just as I was. Take care of your car and it will be reliable to you!!

Totally sensible car.

I bought this because it was a less-used model, same as my previous car. I ended up keeping both! I'm pleased with this "newer" one and believe this was a smart decision, to get it. I hope to drive it for a very long time.

Very reliable.

It?s a great car!! Handles very nicely on the highways, but doesn?t ride like a Cadillac. It?s great on gas, if your battery is low, it?ll suck gas!! The 2007 battery in our car was just replaced in ?18. It has low miles and most miles were put on it since ?14, prior to that it had only 30k. Since we pulled it out of the garage in ?14 that initial quality seems to have deteriorated quickly persay ( it?s not falling apart) just aging. It?s never broke down! We had a headlamp out in ?16. The breaks are replaced every 1.5 yrs free of charge. I have all fluids changed every 2 years including filters. Check engine light came on around 88k due to gas cap sensor and can?t find a compatibility??

Owner of a 2007 Kia Optima

Has been one of the best cars I have ever owned. I've needed minimal repairs on this car. Have had normal maintenance and wear and tear type replacements. Has been reliable and comfortable.

Best car I've owned

I purchased this car in late 2009. It had previously been a rental car and had very high miles for the year. Flash forward to 2017, I have put almost no money into repairs of non ware items and currently have over 180,000 miles on this car. I can't believe how well it has held up over the years. The styling is still current enough that I don't feel like I'm driving a ten year old car. The biggest issue I've had is the headlights. Th y are so dim. I've tried many different bulbs and currently have an LED upgrade kit installed that makes almost no noticeable difference. The next step for me is to have the headlamp lenses professionally restored.
