2008 Jeep Liberty consumer reviews

I looked at several vehicles before purchasing the Jeep Liberty. I love the look of the vehicles, the comfort, and the space. It's a great vehicle!

rides rough but wonderful during a snow storm and is built like a tank never let me down but does come with the normal jeep maintenance(*alot) i have the skyslider in mine and it does leak dodge still has no fix for it

We've taken our Jeep to beaches in Florida and through Mountains. With the skyglider, you can see stars and the moon at night and watch the beautiful fireworks. It handles real well in the rain and the snow. Love the 4WD!! It's great for a single person or a couple, but not so well with a couple of kids on long trips. We did have an issue with the heat, blowing cold air on the driver side while the heat was on. And in any change in the weather the lights seem to go crazy especially when it turned cold outside. You definitely want to hand wash this vehicle, the skyglider can get really messed up if taken through an automatic carwash with high powered blowers. Love how the skyglider opens all the way forward and backward. It is very good on gas, the 6 cylinder engine is strong. The 4WD works great and is so easy to engage. It's also nice that it shows the temperature outside, big help. With the heat, it's not so bad after the vehicle sits idling for a little bit. I think this vehicle is more for warm weather areas. This Jeep cannot go through the car wash! The wheel sensors come loose and warning lights come on regularly. The driver's side back window latch corroded and broke. It is more trouble than it is worth.

My son was in an accident this morning in his Jeep Liberty. Took down a telephone pole. Both he and his friend walked away without a scratch. Probably would not have been so lucky in another model.

This is my first jeep. Bought as a second owner with low miles and I grabbed it quickly. I love the high ride, safety of a larger vehicle, and over all feeling of enjoying what I drive. Wish the gas mileage was better, but then it is a 4x4 and the extra gas is worth my High ride. I will continue now to always have a jeep through my driving years.

We went searching for a good used car and test drove many, many used cars. We ended up at a car dealership where this one was just traded in. It hadn't even been cleaned up. We snapped it up. We both had been interested in a Jeep, but could not find a used one with low miles! This was a find! The Jeep Liberty is wonderful, and I feel so safe in it. We are starting a family and I feel comfortable and secure in this car. The gas mileage could be a bit better, but you sacrifice that for the security of a 4 x 4!

The 2008 Jeep Liberty is a great, cute and reliable off road car!! it's so spacious and drives pretty well... Fuel is so-so but thats ok! the ride is smooth and i couldn't ask for anything better with a small SUV :D i love my Jeep

Most unreliable car ever. Transmission went out at 30,000 miles, steering rack went out at 25,000 and the convertible roof doesn't work now at 39,000

I love this vehicle it goes everywhere! I also Love driving it in the snow-so happy I bought this!!!! I would for sure buy another one
