My All-time Favorite.

2 years ago I bought my 1995 4.0 XJS cabriolet. I still smile every time I get behind the wheel, or walk by it, or just think of it. I am smiling right now. The styling speaks for itself. The performance and handling are wonderful, and still decent milage. I bought mine with 68,000 miles and to date have only had maintenance costs. The AC evaporator failed, a known problem, last year so I use my wife's car on the hottest days but this is my daily driver. I recently found the evaporator through Welsh in Ohio so that will be resolved when my mechanic has time to do the install. The only two things I don't like, no glove box and the back seats are useless. This is by far, the most I have ever enjoyed a car.

Beauty and Luxuary the best CAT-MEOW

I purchased 95 XJS v12, (12 CYLINDER) in 2017 and I waited to write it. I don't want t miss lead the readers. Smooth ride, this cat is lean and mean. I Love this cat and get lot of attention and complements. beautiful cruiser. I am 6 ft tall, 230lb (pot belly). Cost of maintenance:- you are touching.a $90,000 MSRP Car . Average expenses $1000/- per year so far I spent on the breaks and oil change, and rear shock. nothing so expensive besides that. I used abc performance break much better than the stock. in all three years I spent only 2700/- (3K) . which is close to my 2012 Sienna maintenance. MySienna expense was $2000 in the last 3 years. I did my second smog check and passed without any issue.. if you can find one go for it. This model is currently under priced due to the issues with the previous versions.

Beautiful car, beautiful ride!

I love my XJS!!! The best car I have ever owned, and it will be my last! If I ever need another car, I will be on the hunt for nothing else but another Jaguar XJS 5.2L V12. The car is so private inside, you can climb in and literally be, and feel hidden, your body wrapped in the luxury of leather and steel, no plastic junk that is hallmark of all new cars! For a relatively small car, it weighs 5000 pounds, it rides and feels like a much bigger luxury car. Sad to say, but the car provokes much jealousy and envy at times, and the message is loud and clear, "THAT CAR SHOULD BE MINE"!! I was warned by the man who sold it to me to watch out for people like that, it was keyed when he owned it. I have found spit on the roof, had the aerial broken off if it, and some people cannot restrain themselves so they park close enough to dent the car with their doors! Because of this I have to park it at the far end of the parking lot by itself, and can't leave it more than 10 minutes! Aside from those sickened by jealousy and envy, the car gets alot of attention and many really nice compliments. The car brings so much attention, that I wish I could just drive it and have people just mind their own business! I am glad that I hide in it, the back half of the car and the small rear side windows along with the tall bucket seats make it impossible to be seen inside. And because the car is so low to the ground no one can see the driver unless they are on the driver's side of the car, or facing the car. And as a woman I really appreciate these features! It makes for a real private luxurious ride like no other car I have owned! If you are a man who is really tall like 6'4", you will have trouble getting in and out because the interior is really small, especially since the big GM400 transmission takes up alot of the interior space! The car is only 3'11" tall, and I am 5'4" inches tall, and the car is a perfect fit for me. If you decide buy an XJS, have as many anti-theft features installed as you can, because the XJS is a highly desired car in eastern Europe, and they are being stolen, put into large metal containers and are being shipped from North America to people in Eastern Europe who have paid for them before the wheels even leave the ground! You should also register your Jaguar XJS along with it's Vehicle Identification Number with XJS DATA which keeps track of all the XJS's on the road. In the event that your car is ever stolen it may be easier to track and retrieve your car. With only 115,000 ever produced, and even fewer on the road including the ones on the race track in the UK and Australia, make it as difficult as possible to have your XJS stolen. Because if you don't make it very difficult to steal, some guy will own your car with it's Vehicle Identification Number changed, and he will have it legally registered and insured in his own name in a foreign country!

XJS....A Beautiful Problem Worth Having.

Drop dead styling, comfort for touring and a classic which always turns heads; the XJS coupe is meant to be driven. As an owner, you must be willing to be a loving conservator or you must be willing to sell it to someone who can be. Owning an XJS is not a casual relationship.

Powerful engine and strong drivetrain

Superb driving experience that can only come from a solid car like the XJS. Love the way this car hugs the road with plenty of power.

This car has it all

Style, ride quality, reliability, all in a car that when new sold for $60k+. I have owned three of these cars. All have been free of any major repairs. All have been six cylinder models which are easy to maintain. Driving this car is a joy. Most all have automatic transmissions, shifting is smooth throughout the power ban. Handling is very good, what one would expect from a Jaguar. The convertible top is easy to operate, has both automatic and manual modes. The stock sound system is just ok. I have upgraded the systems in all of mine opting for a power amplifier and high end speakers. Finally I receive compliments about this car nearly every time I drive it. You don't see many on the road, when you do there is no mistaking the XJS, a work of art on wheels.
