Stunning classic

This is my 3rd s type 3.0 litre v6 se in the British racing Green and by far the best one I’ve ever owned. Stunning looking very comfortable silky smooth ride and effortless driving performance. 2005 year and over 100000 miles with jaguar full service history. A true classic that puts a smile on my face every day

Antique Classic Car

My Jaguar is a 2003 S-Type V8 4.2. I must say the best running car ever made. However finding parts today is difficult ,it is running like a new Jag. I’ve been driving this car 20yrs looks brand new. Outshine any car in looks and ride.😄I’d sell to a collector now.

Nice Jaguar 2005 the most reliable car that I have

Jaguars are consistently among the best-handling cars of their kind and the Jaguar on this year make a very good car, reliable. The Jaguar usually last with 125,000 or 150,000 miles can be a good investment, since you're likely to clear 200,000 miles or more.

I've just purchased this lovely beast

Of course it's very luxurious , has more aids than I'll ever use, goes faster than I'll ever drive it--for long~~It's a product of the time Ford purchased control of Jag and Aston martin etc. The result is that the 4 Litre Double overhead cam V8 is related to engines Ford uses in millions of other vehicles meaning I don't have to wait until a part comes from Jolly old England! I've three of it's ancestors the Jaguar Mk-1 which simply commanded English Saloon-(Sedan) racing in the 50's and 60's, This beast weighs about 1000# more meeting the DEMANDS of those buyers with all the extras that add poundage so may not be spending much time in the winners circle~~Come back and see me in six months and I'll tell you about using it, the engine receive top ratings and most of it is the same bits that has made Jaguar a race winner for most of a century!

Life saver.

I have the 3.0 SE with high luxury interior and moonroof. An idiot suddenly stopped his car on the freeway to make an illegal turn and if it were not for the fantastic handling of my s type I am not sure if I would have been writing this now.

Money Pit

Beauty without functionality. I spent so much money on this car. One thing after another. I think it spent more time in the shop than on the road. A great car if you like having a never ending repair project!

Best driving car I ever had...

I have had two of these S-Types Jaguars now. After I wrecked the first one, I found this one online and had it shipped in. They drive great and have massive horsepower with the 4.2 V8 but still gives you 20MPG in town unless you drive it like a hot rod. The back seats fold down so you can carry almost anything. Comfortable and roomy inside for the front passengers. Even though it is a 4 door, I don't recommend putting adults in the back seats.

You Get What You Pay For

I own a 2003 S-Type with a 3.0L V6, and a manual (5-Speed) transmission. A few things I really enjoy: I seem to be in the minority of people to who enjoy sedans with manual transmissions. (I bought it for this reason.) This car is a pleasure to drive. The stick slides and clicks into the gears nicely and all threat of a failed automatic transmission is entirely removed. The car has a timing chain (not a rubber belt), which further increases my confidence in the powertrain's reliability. The seats are very comfortable and range of adjustment is more than ample. The car, so far, has been relatively easy to work on, as I've replaced the original cracked grill, coolant overflow tank, valve cover gaskets, and all filters and fluids. With Continental tires, road noise is nonexistent. The factory sound system is also a quality product. I own an E-Type, so it's really fun to drive a modern Jaguar saloon with a stick shift. There are, however, sticking points; if the original owner neglected maintenance, walk away. Parts are not cheap. If you can do your own work, the S-Type is a bargain, however. On the same token, this is not the car on which to learn automotive maintenance. You should be proactive with maintenance and replace timing sets, water pump, thermostat, all fluids and filters, oil pan and valve cover gaskets, and install ceramic (dustless) brake pads. Usecthe correct (5W-30) oil, the correct coolant, and replace the stock (crack-prone) coolant expansion tank with a quality aftermarket unit. In all, a fun car once you sort it out and make up for the indiscretions of the last owner(s).
