2022 Hyundai TUCSON consumer reviews

After only 1,030 miles, vehicle would not do over 28 miles per hour. Had it towed to the local Hyundai dealer. They had it for 3 weeks before they were able to correct the problem. I even contacted Hyundai consumer affairs and they were of no help. Many other little quirks with the vehicle. Doors do not lock half the time. Having this vehicle stolen may be to my benefit. Lift gate does not automatically open as advertised. Gas filler door can be opened by anyone because Hyundai cheapened the vehicle by eliminating the inside release. No place in the owner's manual does it tell you how to set the clock. I could go on and on, overall, the worst new vehicle I purchased in 50 years.

I have had this car for almost 5 months. My first problem, the vehicle wouldn't accelerate and the engine would cut off while my family was inside 2 times. Took two weeks to "fix" and they didn't know what the problem was and simply replaced some parts. When I contacted the Hyndai manufacturer they pretty much told me F your family and safety but thanks for calling. 3 weeks since they "fixed" my car, it has cutoff on me 3 times and has a hard knocking noise. The lack of care from Hyndai is ridiculous! I just want to give this piece of crap back and start new. Never get this vehicle unless you want a headache and lack of support from everyone involved with Hyndai. I have to move as I'm in the military and now I have to worry about my car condition. After putting my family safety in jeopardy multiple times and the manufacturer hating its consumers I have no clue what to do!

Only have had this Tucson Limited two months. I am really impressed with just about everything. I have only had one little issue that I just noticed. There is this little noise coming from somewhere around the passenger side panoramic sun roof when starting forward or reverse and it sounds like something sliding back and forth in a metal channel. Have not taken it back to dealer yet.

Have had for two months. Getting better mileage then advertised. Lots of technology. Taking a little time to learn. Would recommend the Tucson to anyone.

My month with my new Tucson has been awesome! Many of the features have been great to use. The auto hold feature, which allows the car to brake itself after stop without holding the brake pedal, was one I didn't think I would use. But I use it all the time! Gas mileage has gone up with every tank of gas and the car is very smoth on the highway! So glad I bought it!!!

I love a lot of the features in this model. My 2 real gripes.. and I know it's like most systems in all cars..., are the use of you phone for satellite features. The disconnection is a major pain! I lose service often and have trouble connecting often. Hinders me a lot in my business travels with navigation. AND...The seats are good, but after a long drive do get a little hard: could use more padding. Otherwise, this is a fantastic vehicle. I love many of the features and the gas milage is good. I have taken my 2022 on two very long trips and both were without issues.

Absolutely love this vehicle! We have bought Hyundais since 2001 and never had any issues until a dealer in Cedar Rapids changed the oil and didn’t get the plug totally back in. Goodbye engine! We already had 130,000 miles on it!

2022 Hyundai Tuscon Limited Hybrid. Amazing car with one significant exception. The headlights cast a shadow in the beam into the left lane. I have read this is a design feature so oncoming traffic is not blinded by your headlights. A good idea in theory, BUT, this creates a dangerous issue if you are driving on a dark country road or on a main divided highway and your vision to the side is partially obscured by this feature. A better design would have the headlights cast this shadow only when the car senses oncoming traffic, just like the auto high beam feature works. I would recommend anyone considering buying this car to test drive it at night.

Have only owned my Tucson for a month. First out of town trip. Averaging about 31mpg. Happy with that. Rides and handles well. A little wind nosie, but driving in 35 mile an hour wind.

Purchased this vehicle Jan 2022, and I’ve not had one regret. I was a loyal customer from a competitor but after driving this baby I didn’t even bother with a test drive. I didn’t know much about the Hyundai so I did an extensive search and most all had great reviews. I liked the dealer, too.
