I like this car. It has plenty of zip and handles extremely well. I love the heated seats and the double sunroof.

Tuscon has low mileage like sonanta better

Puechased the limited version tuscon traded my 2011 sonata because it was too low and cramped seats. I miss the mileage of the sonata this tuscon has almost 2800 miles since I purchased it in december 2011. It is a bit noisy handles well but the rising gas cost makes it a costly vehicle to drive. Much better visibilty than the sonata but seats are more comfortable and are heated. The dual comfort controls are good. The center console also is smaller than the sonata. I miss the small compartment below the radio used for personal stuff. Plan on a long trip this summer but will be costly roomy is another word for front seating. I constantly reset the dash computre to check mileage and performance which is hard to determine what I get. Range is usually 3335 miles because the fuel tank is smaller than the sonata. Hot almost 450 miles on a full tank of my sonata. This review indicates a sonat for economy but comfort tuscon is better. Time will tell how long I will keep it.

Great car.

Excellent value for the money. We got the Limited version and it came loaded with EVERYTHING including heated leather seats, front and rear sunroofs, and auto two zone climate control. The only drawback is a little noise at highway speeds.

UNDER 1000 MILES OF DRIVING TIME

Overall the vehicle is well performing. I'm getting better mileage than I thought in the city (25.6 mpg) and almost as much (31.5 mpg) as the Hynudai blurb says on the Highway. Two things: Car is noisier than I expected and that I've been used to. Headlight beams are not sufficient in width, depth, intensity. Otherwise if this car performs in ten years as it does now, I'll be satisfied.

Smart Styling and Economical

Although I've only owned the Tuscon for a few months, I have a feeling that this is a vehicle that I will keep for ten or more years. It has among the best fuel mileage in its class, 28 mpg in actual, mostly highway, use, compared to a sticker of 31 mpg on the highway. We love the heated seats, the abundant airbags and the fact that there is no roof rack to mess up the fuel mileage, on the Limited model we bought (We never used the roof rack on our previous car). The Nav screen is large and accessible by both driver and front passenger, even when the vehicle is moving (the Nissan Rogue, for one, disallows Nav manipulation when underway). On the down side, the BlueTooth sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. The vehicle rides rough when equipped with 18" wheels (standard on the Limited), despite the salesman telling us that it would ride smoother with larger wheels. There are no temperature controls for the back seat. The car body is expensive to repair, costing over $2,000 for a one-mile-per-hour parking lot mishap with a parked car, despite being equipped with bumpers and body cladding that supposedly meets the federal mandate for safety in low-speed crashes. I will post future reviews as our ownership of this vehicle continues.

Tuson

The choice was narrowed down to two vehicles - 2012 Forester or Tuson. I finally decided on the Tuson limited for a number of reasons: - the Subaru styling is somewhat dated as are some other features ie 4 speed transmission, interior design to name a few. The Hyundai 5 year warranty was a strong selling point. Also the styling, interior, dual sunroof, and stronger dealer network(in my area) were swaying points. While both vehicles are in the same price range, Hyundai was a lot more willing to deal by throwing in extras. 1000km later, the Tuson is everything I had hoped for and more.

just traded for

I owned a 2011 Rav4. Liked it but didn't love it. Just traded for a 2012 Hyundai Tucson Limited. So far, I love it. A more comfortable ride, better gas mileage, and overall better stylish vehicle. So far, so go.

Great Looks, Value And Ride

I traded in my 2011 Hyundai Elantra which I loved, but it was killing my back, for a 2012 Tucson. Just love the truck, the style is great, looks just like the Lexus, the interior is almost perfect, just wish the a/c vents went down further, but the rest is perfect. It is very comfortable and roomy in the front and in the back. The cargo area is a little small, but it will work. If you need a bigger cargo area, get an Xterra, but only get 15 mpg in town and 20 highway. I am getting 21 in town and 27 hwy, but I have less than 1000 miles on it and it will get better, still not bad for an SUV. The ride is very smooth and quiet and the acceleration is much better than you would think. The price is excellent for what you get, plus you get the best warranty there is and 5yr/unlimited Roadside Assistance. Excellent SUV.

BEST value for the dollars

We have owned this Tuscon for 1 month so reliability will be evaluated in months to come. But when we compared the Tuscon to all others in its class ( small SUV / Crossovers ) It is the best buy. Ride is quiet an smooth. Acceleration is more than I expected with a 4 cylinder motor. the 6 speed trans was smooth and downshifted perfectly to keep motor in torque band when pulling up steeper hills . Brakes seemed a little touchy compared to my Saturn but easy to get use to. Have seen 23 mpg around town and 29 highway . A GREAT little car.

Very Disappointed

Researced this vehicle alot. Thought I was purchasing a fuel efficient vehicle. Wrong! I am now saddled with a 22 to 23 MPG Botch with or without the ECO!! I travel 80 to 90 miles per day in my travel to and from work. At this point I am very very disappointed with my purchase.
