Not so much

I’m not a big fan of the car. I’ve had it for 5 years and though it’s been fairly reliable, and it fits well in the “utility” category, it is also very under-powered and at 135,000k the engine threw a rod right through the block. That was a big shock. Hyundai replaced the engine no charge. The problem was a “blocked oil injector” in one of the cylinders which was a manufacturing defect. Next purchase: CRV or RAV4.

Hyundai/Kia are garbage

This car is garbage and Hyundai will do whatever they can tp not honor warranties. Car needs a new engine at 130k on an engine that has a "lifetime" warranty.

Style, comfort, quality and spacious. Buy one !!

I love my Hyundai Santa Fe Sport SUV. It's stylish, comfortable and gets great gas mileage. I packed my Hyundai up with my most important and valuable items, including my dog, Sasha, and immigrated from Ontario, Canada, to Florida, USA to retire. That was in 2017 and my car is still as good as new now at the end of 2022. My Hyundai is a 2016. Love it !! ❤

GDI Motors

My 2016 Santa Fe Sport has been a really great car up until now, right after I paid it off. I have always kept up the maintenance every 5,000 miles & only used synthetic oil. About 1 week ago I started hearing a strange noise coming from under the hood. Took it into my usual oil changing place 2,000 miles short of it being due & it did not even register on the oil stick. They told me that they have seen several Hyundai's & KIA's come in with the same problem. no oil leaks under or around the motor but the cars are burning oil very fast. One lady went through 4 quarts of oil in 2 weeks. This is only happening on GDI motors which are made by Hyundai's & KIA's. I have really enjoyed my car up until now, now I have to get rid of it before it catches on fire or the engine just stops working & leaves me stranded somewhere.

Excellent Vehicle

I am a Subaru guy when it was time to sale my 2008 Subaru I could not find a used Subaru priced right the prices are extremely high. Found this used 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport at a Hyundai dealership that was priced right my wife and I are extremely happy with this car, the ride is excellent, plenty of room, quality is excellent and gets good fuel mileage. I have been in the Automotive Business since 1975 I highly recommend the vehicle

Bad Vehicle and Dealership

The cars electrical systems started draining the battery during the winter months and then I don't have any audio working on anything in the car, and now they notice that the audio fuse in the car has been burnt and so is the slot it goes in. Told that I have to pay for all repairs.

Burnt to the ground

Loved the vehicle at the beginning, but it was nothing but problems ultimately ending with my 2016 Santa Fe sport burning to the ground. Vehicle was kept absolutely immaculate, never missing a single service appointment or oil change. Was on my way to the camp and noticed smoke coming from the back, wife looked out of the passenger seat window to see flames coming from under the car. We were able to get ourselves and the dog out seconds before the cab was engulfed in flames. The car was nothing but a frame by the time the fire was out. Come to find out there was a wiring harness recall that we were not notified about. We could have lost our lives due to this extremely poorly made vehicle. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Before the fire, the heated windshield would constantly overheat and crack (replaced 3 times), the transmission has to be replaced within the first 3 months of ownership, and the passenger side door would start to droop after the first year of ownership.
