Very happy with the Ionic Hybrid SEL - 2019
We drove our 2019 SEL from CA to OH and back in July 2021. It was a perfect ride. Our cat even got to like it. The Ionic performed better than any advertisement we saw. The sticker indicates mpg @ 57. At best we got 57.6! We didn’t get 57 the whole trip, but our 5100 mile averaged was 54. I stopped leasing after 3 cars to buy this one. Best car I’ve bought in 40 years.

2019 ionic
After 42000 miles I can tell you that the car runs just as well as it did when I 1st got it. The car is extremely well designed and is excellent on gas mileage ranging between 55 in the Winter and 70 in the summer . It pretty much does everything you would want in the car there is just nothing fancy about it. The car handles extremely well especially in a city or a town it is less spectacular on the highway. A shift gear has proven to be rather helpful. Considering its size it really is well designed internally as there's plenty of room for 4 people and there is definitely space in the back. So if you can give up a little bit of the comfort you are driving a really efficient excellent car.

Ioniq 2019 bad experience
Bad Experience overall - Ioniq 2019, repetitive suspension issue, column shaft replacement, and transmission replacement. This is the third time my car has to go for a warranty issue. 1. October 2019, an issue with the suspension with less than 6K miles and in less than 6 months. Defective right rear shock, that was replaced. 2. March 2020, second service, again an issue, this time with a defective speaker that was replaced 3. February 2021 (three more issues on my third visit) Two major issues identified, with 21K miles. Steering wheel column/shaft replaced. The transmission will need to be replaced. Due to a grinding noise upon deceleration. It sounds terrible. - and, again the same suspension issue in the rear back with a popping noise coming from the rear right, that technicians and service team hasn't been able to identify the problem. I am not happy at all with my purchase, when I took the decision to buy a new car was because I didn't want to deal with stress, discomfort, and worries about my family's safety. I don't think this is normal for a car with less than 2 years of use, and less than 22K miles.

Car was love at first sight
Driven the car for 2 years almost 3 and it is great, not the best mileage as advertised, 45-50mpg average vs advertised up to 65MPG and I am a very efficient driver.

Love my Ioniq!
I thought I would always drive a Prius, but when the body was redesigned, I started looking for another hybrid. A friend of mine drives a Hyundai and she likes it so I started looking at the Ioniq. It's super sporty, has all the bells and whistles, and gets great gas mileage.

Got a Leftover 2019 PHEV During COVID its Fantasti
Fully loaded 33k Sticker New 26K after Net Cost State $1500 Rebate Fed $4500 and Covid dealer incentives. Great standard warranty for peace of mind. Handles well. Love the torque in EV mode quicker than most think especially off the line. Owned 6 months filled up Gas only once and I'm averaging 200 MPG-e after 5 months of use 98% EV-Mode. Oil/Filter changes every 2 years @ 10K miles per year with majority EV-mode use. This car is gonna last! When you shut the doors they're Solid which exudes quality. Paint Job only Fair not Great tho. Hyundai only a hair behind Toyota in quality but a great choice for Value! Very pleased with my first Hyundai. Next vehicle will be FULL EV in 5-10 years. Big oil is doomed!

Best gas mileage
Great gas mileage (51 mph in city)! Leg room is good as well as cargo area in back. A car stopped suddenly in front of me and my car automatically stopped as well, preventing a wreck!

Transmission is a little wonky@
Overall its OK. tends to hang up in high RPMs. Have to put it in sports mode frequently to keep it from over revving Fun to drive
