My last car was very simple, but my new Ioniq is very complex. So, it is fun figuring out all the ins and ours of its nature. I like the car, but I am liking this experience less as it keeps demanding that I say more and more.

Best economical, comfortable, nimble car ever.
This car has it all room in back for Passengers a hatch for cargo and great gas mileage. Love the styling and what puts this over the top for a hybrid is the Hyundai warranty and costumer service.

Best Car I've Ever Had
Smoothest ride ever and so quiet. Plenty of room and the visibility is outstanding compared to my last car plus the back up camera is wonderful. So far, the car has been maintenance free and I'm averaging over 52 MPG.

Road trips are no longer a gas problem!
I bought this car because my last one ate up gas like crazy, I work 1.5 hours away 100 miles round trip. On a full tank of gas I get 645 miles and average somewhere around 60-68 mpg. I fill up my car about once a week which is amazing in comparison to the 3 times a week I was doing before. Now I can finally do road trips! I drove from Orange County to Las Vegas to Hooverdam, to the Skyway Grand Canyon tour all on 1 full tank of gas.

Prius killer. Doesn't look like a spaceship
I've been watching this vehicle for 5 months to see any bad reviews, recalls, etc and finally purchased a 2017 Hyundai Ionic SEL with TECH pkg. Getting 55-56 mpg so far. The TECH pkg is rare in stock but has all the safety features. The Smart Cruise control is unbelievable. Styling better than Prius and gets better mpg. Basic model gets at least 2 more mpg

Watch out freaky Prius
For die-hard Toyota enthusiasts, nothing will beat their beloved brand but if your thinking of venturing into the hybrid market, you need to check out this car. I've owned this car for about 4 weeks now and I love it. The Hyundai Ioniq hybrid looks better than the Prius, gets better mileage, I'm averaging 58mpg with a fill up rnge of 650 miles to a tank. The Ioniq has a 6 speed dual clutch transmission as opposed to the whiny CVT in the Prius, and is laid out on the inside like a regular car and drives like a regular car. It has more than adequate acceleration and the mid-level SEL with the tech package that I bought has Lane change assist autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection and rear traffic alert, and all levels include dual-zone climate control, and Hyundais 100000 warranty. Also, the hybrid battery has a lifetime warranty. Lastly, these cars cost LESS than the Toyotas about 3k less.

My wife may cast a Veto on buying this.
We test drove a beautiful Ioniq Blue, wanting to buy one. But my wife hates the horizontal bar across the hatchback rear window, interfering with the traditional view from the rear view mirror. I must agree with her, it IS annoying. Wish there were an option for a tailgate without the bar across which separates the rear view into two parts. Lou

Rented it and loved it
We drove all over on our vacation and only used half tank of gas. Only negative is it is a little small, but it left us with a feeling of value and reliability. Loved how quiet it is. The interior and exterior are very pleasing to the eye and comfortable.
