Best car ever

I purchased my 2004 Honda Pilot brand new. I have 215,000+ miles on her now and the only thing I’ve ever had done is basic maintenance. The paint is starting to peel which makes me so angry with myself for not keeping the old girl in the garage all the time. Best car I’ve ever had. Won’t drive anything but a Honda for sure!

Most reliable care I’ve owned

We have had this 2004 Honda Pilot since 2017 we bought it from the original owner who had all the receipts from all the work that has ever been done to it we put about 80k miles on it since then and just absolutely love it. It has taken us on a hundred road trips or more in all types of weather and terrain. Instead of just selling it and getting a new car which I could easily do I just rebuilt the transmission that was slipping a tiny bit into 2nd and whining a bit so I had it rebuilt. I changed the motor mounts and the struts all the way around, got new tires and had it detailed because I love this vehicle so much I don’t want a new one I just want to keep this old girl running. If anything happens with the engine I’ll just have that rebuilt. Best family vehicle ever!!!

VERY RELIABLE

I actually still have this car and am waiting for my son to get his license and this will be his car. My husband bought this for me as a birthday present in 2004! I only put a little over 72,400 miles on it. I love my Honda’s ! It will be a great first car for my son!

Now all of our friends own them

We bought our first 05 Pilot in 2008 and she has been the best cvar every. Funner than minivan but with great seating, we tow with it, camp in it and haul kids. We bought the 04 for our son in 2018 and since buying our first one, our friends have fallen in love and now own their own ranging from 05's to 2012s and love them. Super reliablem cheap to maintain and the parts are easy to come by and afford. We will drive ours into the ground and probably still keep repairing it

Very smooth and quiet. So far so good!

The exterior is no frills but I like the great Black shiny paint, the interior however is very nice leather and chrome trim. Nice condition.

I have 309500 miles and it still runs great.

I bought it New in December 2003 and only had one item go wrong, the cooling fan. Service items have been replaced as needed. By far the very best vehicle I have ever owned. It’s silver metallic and still looks good.

Great All Around Vehicle

We bought our 2004 Pilot in 2014 with over 200,000 miles on it and now have over 245,000. I use the Pilot for towing my 19 ft. Smokercraft boat ( about 2100 lbs.), going to the dump and hunting. It has never failed me. I put a set of Continental tires on it and it still handles great. I would also recommend a transmission fluid change if your car is sluggish shifting. After I had mine done, it was almost like a new engine and shifting was crisp and certain. Easy to change headlights (takes about 3 minutes) and fuses. If you ever run your battery down and need to re-program your drivers window, go to YouTube and they show an easy way to do this, rather than the dealer telling you that you have to bring it in for service. Live in Wisconsin and love it in the winter.

One of the best Pilots ever made!

Served its purpose as a family vehicle. Extremely reliable. Never had any major issues just basic maintenance. Rides great in snow and gets around town pretty good too. Interior has a high quality feel and look.

Best Car I've Ever Had

My dad surprised me with this car back in 2011. It had about 70k miles on it, had previously only been owned by one family. It'll hit 300k mi on it in a week or two and I truly cannot say enough great things about it! My job takes me cross country pretty frequently and my Pilot has always made the treks without any problems whatsoever. We've taken it off roading in the desert and up onto trails during snow pack and it is as reliable on any kind of terrain as it is cruising on the highway. People always remark how surprised they are that it's nearly 15 years old- it's so quiet and smoothe and starts right up. I also love the visibility and how easy it is to carry a ton of gear, people, or dogs. My dad always says this was the best purchase the family ever made and I have to agree! It has never needed more than regular maintenance. My Pilot is an old friend at this point and will stay in our family for a long time.
