Sweet Ride!!!

I totally love the car, wish it had backseats, but it’s awesome. I thank Rebecca from SMH auto sales for calling me about the car.

Bang for the buck

When these cars first came out they seem to be really pricey but now at a used car value it seems like a really good deal it's sporty it's not really fast but very Zippy and most importantly will get 45 miles per gallon

spacious and stylish

was worried about possible room issues, but i never feel cramped. rides smoothly, feels very comfortable driving. have to steer wide around corners, and cover blind spots, but thats easy to get used to.

Good car but needs improvements!

I will say first off that my previous car was the original Honda Insight and I was getting close to 57-58 MPG even after owning it for 12 year. So, I was looking for a replacement car that was good looking and got great MPG. Unfortunately, the CRZ satisfies the looks requirement but not the gas efficiency requirement. I get on average 35-40 MPG in ECON mode and that's about it. Very disappointing. I have had the car for nearly 4 years now and it rides great, handles nicely and is a fairly comfortable car. I do really like to drive it. I do hate the driver side view mirror though, the outer quarter of the mirror is designed to provide a wide angle view of cars behind and to the right, but it distorts the view so much I consider it a safety hazard. Another issue would be very bad right rear blind spot. It's difficult at best to see anything on that side of the car that is behind you. What I would really like is for Honda to offer the CRZ in each of the 3 driving modes (performance, normal, and econ). That way they could satisfy customers who each have a different driving preference and requirements in a car. For the CRZ each customer has to compromise on what they get and no one ends up satisfied.

Hidden Gem

Before owning my 2013 CR-Z EX, I always admired their strikingly modern good looks, but until recently, never knew much about them. Bought mine from the original owner w/ 88k miles and am absolutely smitten by it. Asides from the attractive good looks, both inside and out, the car is a blast just driving to the grocery store! Mine is the 6-speed manual, which has to be the best operating stick/clutch of any car I have ever owned and I think I have owned at least 20 cars with a manual, including a Miata, BMW E46, and Acura RSX. Although I have driven easily over 40 mpg Hwy in the ECON mode, I find I can't keep it out of the Sport mode because the drive difference is like night and day and I still get 35 mpg when I do. I highly recommend the car, especially with the 6-speed, and I highly recommend placing it in Sport mode if you should test drive one.

Absolutely love this car! So fun to drive!

This car is amazing! It?s quiet and comfortable. Sporty and fun. There is literally just one thing I wish was different, that it had a back seat option (only because I have kids).

Most efficient and stylish car EVER.

Although it lacks in power, this efficient sporty hybrid is so stylish and good on fuel that it's easy on the wallet, both in fuel efficiency and maintenance.

Efficient fun

This car is a good combination of efficiency and fun. I average 45-46 mpg with the manual transmission. It is a blast to fly through the corners. It does not have the smoothest ride or comfortable seats, but that is expected of sports cars. It certainly is not a high performance car, but is quite peppy in sport mode and gets better fuel efficiency than any other sports car. It is the only manual hybrid available.

Don't waste your time reading "expert" reviews

There is a friendly forum online titled "crzforums." I did ALL my research for this vehicle there and was sold on the car. I picked up an EX with Navigation and couldn't be happier. I'm single, no kids, 6'2", weighing in at 215 lbs. This car fits me fine with more than enough leg and head room. I average 38-42 MPG depending on how much city vs highway driving I do. I get higher MPGs with the latter. The 13 has a back up camera, and I have no issues with the blind spots if you use your mirrors correctly. For the price I paid it's all the car I need. Sure I could have purchased a more expensive hybrid, but I don't need all that wasted room, and I only lose about 4 MPG. With the price difference it would take me YEARS to make up the difference in gas savings. So, go test drive one and be SURPRISED that this car does not drive like a hybrid, but a regular car. Three modes, however, I find myself in Econ mode the most. When I need to quickly merge onto the highway I press sport and zip away. DONT PASS THIS CAR UP, IT'S A STEAL AND DEALERSHIPS ARE GIVING THEM AWAY!!!!

The New CRX

Great car. Performs better than EPA estimates. Put it into ECON mode in the city and when cruising, and it should top 43mpg (my combined average is 42mpg). All with low octane priced fuel. Right "C-Pillar" blind spot is significant, so must adapt driving to the C-Pillar's design. I rated Interior lower than other categories since powered sunroof and leather interior not available. Bench-type seats like the CRX had would be a better alternative. Passenger seat height adjustment would be good. Rest of interior design is very good looking and very functional. Owner's manual needs to describe how to replace cabin filter. I have installed an aftermarket powered sunroof and leather seating/door panels. Three (3) driving modes provide all performance situations you will ever need. No reliability issues at 45k miles. I will be buying a newer one in the future. Nothing with this mpg, reliability, or style in this size vehicle comes close to competing.
