2018 Honda CR-V consumer reviews

This vehicle has been great. The sales staff was fully knowledgeable about it and very easy to work with. My niece and another family member also bought the same vehicle that week.

I've had the car for less than 3 years and here are the issues I've seen so far: The main entertainment display randomly beeps and then goes completely black in the middle of driving. Only way to fix it, is to restart the car. The car battery completely failed with no warning whatsoever. The Tire pressure monitor sensor failed and wrongly reported that the pressure was low. The moon roof has developed an annoying and fairly loud rattle. I really wanted to love my Honda CRV, but the reliability issues have been consistent and disappointing. I don't know if I will buy a Honda for my next vehicle.

The CRV is a roomy, well equipped Honda, with everything you expect in a Honda. I really like the new safety features, including the side view mirror blind spot monitor.

Great size, value, reliability, ride quality and gas mileage. Everything you expect from a Honda. Very safe and easy to drive with all the new safety features that are standard on a Honda.

This car is stylish and both myself and two friends bought the same type for this reason. I wanted a car with back up and side warnings so that was my main criteria. I do not like the back side windows--they do not let you see out the side yourself and until I got used to them, in the dark I thought it was a car coming up. Sometimes style kills function. Most new cars of this kind have the same problem.

I did my research on this vehicle and compared to a Toyota RAV, the Toyota is nice but I love the Honda CRV . Great features and I paid 26000 instead of 34000 for a Toyota. Paid for extended warranties an so far, 52000 miles later, no problems but I do my schedule maintenance on time. Car is awesome and has turbo, lane keep, smart speed control etc

This is my second CRV. Love the turbo, rear hatch auto open, side mirror passing car warning, aerated leather seats, ease of handling. Wish it had a CD player. Also, needs a warning light that battery is low ; we were 3 hours away, and various systems were not working well; hard start, but we had no idea what was wrong.

Had a bumpy start but not the car’s fault but some bad maintenance work. Honda made it good and everything has been smooth sailing since. The car is comfortable and has all the bells and whistles I would want. I get good mileage and very little maintenance other than oil change. I feel comfortable and safe driving around town or on the highway. I’m sold on Honda cars and service.

I love everything about it. The way it handles on the road. The safety features and the comfortable ride. The only thing that bothers me is the ongoing oil dilution issues that were first noticed on the 2017. The Powertrain warranty has been extended. It should be a requirement that dealers inform potential buyers of known issues

My Honda CRV EXL car AC compressor and battery died at 19K miles. I am very dis-satisfied with Honda because it was my first Honda and probably the last one. I do not expect any kind of problems during first 5 years of ownership.
