Love this power house that’s also fuel efficient
The duramax engine is a fuel efficient power house. I think the Canyon 4x4 is the best mid-size pickup on the market! Get the long bed so you can haul the things you need.

Fits the Bill
Diesel Denali 4x4. Tows and drives well. Excellent fuel economy. Wife enjoys driving it too. Fit and finish with Denali is good. Pulling a 24 ft travel trailer is effortless.

Low tech and low safety
I purchased the Canyon Denali. I like the design but not the lack of Safety and technology options that are standard or at least available as options on most vehicles. Ride is not smooth. The Canyon does not have: side vehicle detectors, rear sensors, adaptive cruise control, electric folding mirrors, heated mirrors, heated rear window, electric rear window, auto dim headlights, rear air/heat vents, heated/cooled rear seat, among other safety and convenience items not available. It also has the cheap version Sirius radio that doesn’t receive all channels. There is also very minimal interior storage. Full size trucks have these features and price is about the same. They just built the Canyon cheap and low tech. Will not buy again but will trade for a Ram midsize when they become available.

Bought this truck for my wife
She originally wanted a Jeep. After looking closer she decided she didn’t want one after all... As we were walking back she saw a used Canyon and commented on it. I had seen a NEW CANYON at a another dealership that was lifted with custom wheels. As we drove into the dealership she saw it and said that’s the one? After viewing and test diving it we took it home that night. Was her 25 th wedding present... GO DAWGS!!!

Absolutely love this truck!
So I'm a month into owning my 2018 GMC Canyon Denali and I wouldn't go back for anything. Every day I drive this truck or even get a glance at it I love it more! The vehicle is responsive, has great power, super comfortable and gets great mileage. I love all the great features and versatility of this truck. Plus it just looks amazing. There are some features I wish were an option such as a sunroof and blindspot monitoring. But other than that I love this truck and won't give it up for anything!

Room, Power, Comfort. Can't find anything wrong
Really was surprised with the acceleration for a Truck!, This Crew Cab has so much room, my kids love it... put in the bedrug and tonneau cover. Also did a leveling kit and bigger tires. Get complements on it all the time

Great little truck, but with flaws.
I love the styling of the GMC Canyons and always thought if I’d buy a new vehicle it would be it. My car of 10+ years was miraculously totaled by another motorist and I needed something else, so but the bullet and bought something new that I actually wanted. I ended up splurging and going with a Denali model with the V6 and a short box, and after 3000 miles I love the truck. The features it has are great, the power is definitely adequate and the fuel mileage is actually pretty decent. I love the exterior styling ad even like the interior for the truck model being first released as a 2015 model year. The 8 speed transmission shifts smoothly 99% of the time, with the odd little late shift when rolling to stops every once in awhile. The steering is light but not too light, and the seating position can be altered to give just the right driving position. I like the infotainment system, which is quick and has Apple CarPlay, although I’ve seen the 2019s are an update I still like mine. The interior room is certainly not full sized truck territory, but seating for four adults is easy and this truck is significantly easier to drive in traffic and park as opposed to a full sized. I did have to change the wireless phone charger as the 2018s won’t charge iPhones, and I do wish the backup camera was HD like the 2019s. I don’t tow so I can’t speak about that, but I also wish a 2018 high end truck would have factory LED headlights. It has lane keep warning and front collision warning, but it should have blind spot monitoring and park assist as it is a Denali and it was built new in 2018. Overall I love the truck and hope to keep it 10+ years, but it’s too bad they haven’t updated/added some features faster. It looks like the 2020s will probably be an update, but I unfortunately couldn’t wait.
