I hate this car!!

I don’t know if it’s just the 08 Acadia or what but this car has done nothing but cost me money!! Everything is hard to work on and cost 10x more than other cars. The inside is set up good but that means nothing if you always have to fix something!!

DO NOT PURCHASE A GMC ACADIA

This is the worst vehicle I've ever owned. I purchased it used with only 44000 miles on it. Within the first year the transmission went, I replaced it out of pocket, and one year after that, the engine went, I had it rebuilt at the dealer $4000 out of pocket. And now here we are 2 years later and the engine is gone again, the dealer informed me there was only a 12 month warranty on a $4000 job, now it's sitting waiting for me to replace the engine again, I will, but as soon as it's up and running I'm trading it. I will NEVER purchase another GMC.

Reliable but flaws

I have had serious problems with water entering inside the vehicle I call this make and model Niagra falls. water entering into the battery compartment up to 3 inches which I don't understand why the battery is on the right passenger floor this was not thought thru at all quite dangerous. if e receive 3 or more inches of rain the car collects moisture and will not startI have to open hood to allow the moisture to dry up quite frustrating.

Most disappointing vehicle I’ve ever owned!!!!

Bought this Denali as a loyal GM owner since the mid 80’s. The only thing I did correctly with this purchase was to buy a long extended warranty. Even with all the things the extended warranty did pay to repair it still cost me more in repairs that I have not purchased a GM vehicle since this one. The V6 engine was The biggest pile of junk I’ve ever owned. I want to buy only American made vehicles and now only buy Fords. Currently own 4 fords now. GM has become a huge disappointment ever since the government bailouts. Looks like Ford gets all my business moving forward. Vary disappointed as my Father always bought GM products and I was trying to follow him with GM. Vary sad what has become of GM!!!!

WORST VEHICLE I EVER OWNED

We bought our 2008 Acadia from a dealership and after 8 months the transmission went out it was under warranty so it was fixed at no cost to us, but it did still leave us stranded in North Dakota in the middle of a snow storm and -10*. Then the heater fan went out, followed by the water pump and wiper motor! A year and a half after the transmission was replaced and the warranty expired the transmission went out again. Cost us $3500 to get a new one out in! I will NEVER buy a GMC product ever again!

Dependable and Reliable. No problems as of yet.

Vehicle is strong and clean. Drives smoothly with no hiccups. I'm happy with my purchase. I just purchased this SUV on March 2nd, so it is still a bit early to give a complete assessment but I'm satisfied so far. If it continues to hold up over the next few months I would definitely buy another vehicle from here. Overall buying and purchasing experience was brilliant!

Timing chain issues, and no recall. SMH

This vehicle would be great with a completely different drivetrain. Third row, all wheel drive and ground clearance, are the good. But there is so much bad.

Worst car I've ever had

Leaks water thru sunroof, faulty airbags, faulty struts, and worst thing of all the timing chains went out at 100,000 miles. GM dealership refused to help stating there was no recall
