Diesel engine blown at 138000 miles

Bought it for our company for reliability an ease of finding ford repair when traveling cross country. Nothing but recall after recall since purchase. Have had multiple high dollar repairs outside of the recalls including a blown engine December of 2018. All services have been strictly adhered to since purchase. Since the engine replacement we have now had four!!!! Additional repairs that have each cost 2800.00+!!!!!! All of course not having to do with the new engine according to ford but all were parts taken off the old engine and put on the new engine (which according to each ford repair facility should have been replaced with the engine. One ford repair facility showed us where a pump had been partially replaced). The new engine cost us $11,000.00!!!! So do the math on the cost so far. We previously had a sprinter 2500 and elected to go for a ford so that we could find repair facilities easily for oil changes etc. don’t do it!!!! Run as far and fast away from these vehicles as possible!!!!!

Excellent large family vehicle.

Spacious, reliable, comfortable. A real conversation piece. Wide aisles allow passengers to move about easily. Tall ceiling allows for easy loading of car seats. Ecoboost give the vehicle a lot of get up and go.

Best van

This is a great new generation of a van. Much better gas mileage, way more comfortable, and a lot of fun to drive. I hope Ford keeps investing in this design,

Great van for a large family

We are enjoying our upgrade from a Dodge Caravan to the Ford Transit 15 passenger van. We have a family of 7 and found the Dodge not to have enough room for everybody anymore. The 15 passenger Transit allows us to take a couple rows out and have plenty of room for everybody and a friend (something we could never do before). The van drives smoothly for being on a truck chassis. The control panel is well designed and everything is within easy reach of the driver or passenger.

Room for the WHOLE family

Having a family of seven means needing lots of room for all of us -- and any friends who come along! We LOVE our Transit!

Haven't owned it long but LOVE it!!!

This was my dream car to meet our large family's needs, and so far it has exceeded my hopes and expectations! The headroom is expansive compared to other vans we looked at, and the windshield, driver and front passenger windows are huge, letting in lots of filtered light and giving the driver a great view of the surroundings. The steering is tight and gives a smooth ride, even for the back passengers. We are also impressed with the quiet engine and digital dashboard features, including steering wheel controls. Seats 12 without the backseat installed, and that leaves PLENTY of cargo space. Every seat has a three point seatbelt and captain's chairs, and there is air conditioning vents on EVERY row - a must when you have a van full of hot people in Texas! We were willing to get something older for a lower price, but are so pleased with our decision to spend $5,000 more for such a safe, dreamy ride. We also saved on insurance with this van compared to our 2002 Dodge Ram Passenger Van! Couldn't believe a newer van was cheaper to insure. Must be the safety ratings!! We feel spoiled and the kids are loving it!! Any downsides? The only thing I wonder about is the fact that the only windows that open are the driver's and front passenger's side. No other van we have owned or looked at has been designed like that, so I wonder if we'll miss it. However, with the abundant and strong air conditioning system, I don't expect we will care!
