Your Dreams Answered
As I opened the door to my new Fusion, life finally started looking up. The new car smell rolled by me and made me smile oh so bright. I sat down and felt as if a cloud was places below me. I turned the key. The soft sound of the engine purred like a gentle kitty. The lights from the dash lit up and as I turned to Dave (salesman) and a tear gently rolled down my cheek. He and I both knew this was it. I placed it in drive and gently pressed the gas. The smooth rise was amazing, especially for the streets of Ohio. The power was just enough, the stylish look turned heads and I waved at people with pride. We drove and drove until Dave said "I need to go back", I agreed reluctantly. I didnt want the ride to stop. As I dropped him off, he looked back, like shoe less Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams and He and I knew It was going to be alright as he disappeared inside the building. I still have this car and I enjoy driving it everyday. I suggest you give it a try.

RENTING A CAR BEFORE YOU BUY CAN BE PERSUASIVE
I recently drove from Southern California to New Jersey, the rental car company offered me 2 choices, a 2016 Nissan Altima or a same year Ford Fusion. I chose the AMERICAN car. Boy was I impressed. Not only the styling knocked my socks off, but the interior & standard equipment was way more than I'd ever seen in any car. Very driver oriented, extremely comfortable,& the folding rear seat made me feel like I was driving my personal car( a VW Passat Stn.Wgn.) The seats(power standard) adjusted every which way, & the lumbar position too. After 11 hours of driving it was still a joy to sit there and drive. Not to mention the onboard computer relaying to me an astonishing 37.6 MPG( my avg. speed- 71 MPH). After parking the car in a hotel parking lot that was empty, I glanced back at it & said to myself" Wow, it drives like a big comfortable new Lincoln, I have to see about buying one upon return home". I searched via " cars.com", found varying prices & mileage on a 2015. Found 1 about 5 miles from home about 1/2 price of a new 1 with only 9,000 miles( still new if you ask me...). Needless to say, the VW Passat Wgn. was traded in. Not crazy about the color(Ingot silver), & I can't grasp all the tech stuff, but overall I'm very happy with my "new" Ford Fusion.

Very reliable
My wife picked it out. Just what she wanted. It's the SE 1.4 liter eco-boost and she loves it. Moonroof no wind noise. It has a lot of options and it has about 22000 miles. Only time it's been to the dealer is for an oil change. She dosen'tknow it but I've had it up to 120mph and it definitely doesn't feel like it. Ride is smooth and comfortable. Excellent acceleration for passing on the interstate. Good gas mileage around town and highway driving. Bought my daughter a 2016 model a year later she liked it so well.

16,584 miles on 72.3 gallons of gas
The Fusion Energi plug in is a whole new world of driving. Smooth, quiet, powerful. Electricity costs about $10.00 a month ( about $5.00 a month when you realize you only need to change the engine oil every 24 months). I have had about 20 new cars and this plug in is years ahead of anything I have ever owned. I will never go back to gas!!

Great car - but still a Ford
We have the Fusion Titanium FWD. Having driven the flagship Taurus, I can say without hesitation that this car is easily at a higher-quality level than the Taurus... It's one of Ford's recent best. Unfortunately, as nice of a car as it is, I find that buying this model (the Titanium) new would not be a good investment because its sticker price is up there with Luxury Sport Sedans like the Acura TLX, Audi A3, etc., topping out at over $36K. I just could never justify spending that much money on a Ford. Sure, it's a great car, but in that price-range, I would be looking at other foreign alternatives if buying/leasing new. However, due to the quick depreciation of American cars, finding a loaded, 1-year old Fusion with mileage in the teens for under $20K is pretty easy and a great bang for one's buck... which why pre-owned is the way to go. The 2.0L EcoBoost is punchy and full of torque that will put you back in your seat. The transmission though, while MUCH improved from the previous generation Fusion, is still a little wonky at times... Just not as smooth as its premium competitors. (Side Note: I would love to see Ford collaborate with another company and stick a dual-clutch transmission in their Fusion and Mustang... Much more sporty and quicker shifting than tradition automatics.) Overall though, it is a solid car and we are quite happy with it and would certainly recommend it to a friend.

Worst Used Car Purchase
I purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion 5 months ago. Shortly after the first month, problems began. The car won't start after putting gas in it, there's a periodic moaning sound that comes from the gas tank; very annoying, sporadic smell of rotten eggs, car idles very low & vibrates when at stop lights. Just last week, the car cut off on me in the middle of rush hour traffic, while on the freeway; SCARY. Took it to the dealer and Service wanted $95 per diagnosis for every problem mentioned Lol. I had one diagnosis performed and was told it's a faulty purge valve. This is an out-of-pocket expense. I'm very disappointed and wish I could take it right back to the lot.
