Explorer is the Best

Owned many SUVs and the Explorer is the best. We have the Limited, but I wish we would have gotten the Sport model as I am a performance guy.

Best lookin vehicle we've owned

Great leg room and head room for tall people. Easy to use navigation system, responsive steering, and overall good looks. Can turn on a dime for a mid size SUV. Love it!

It's ok

Well...not exactly what I expected. It doesn't matter which second row seat you get (Captain's chairs or Bench), because rear facing car seats do not fit with out adjust the seats all the way back AND adjusting the front seats forward. I currently have an Edge Sport and we have the same problem. I was hoping a size up would alleviate this problem but it doesn't. Next, the performance of this Sport model Explorer was just ok, in fact I am willing to bet my Edge is quicker even with the power difference. I had it in sport mode, juiced it and it felt like turbo lag then it finally decided to accelerate but not with the quickness I expected from this motor. Now I don't want to say it is slow, cuz it wasn't but it wasn't fast either, you decide. Other than that we really liked all the other features. We still plan to purchase an explorer because it can work for what we need now and will be better once the kiddos are bigger.

Test drive won me over

Just bought a 2017 Ford Explorer. I took a test drive and it helped make my decision easier. The vehicle has plenty of exceleration power. The interior is quite and the controls are placed in reach where your not stretching to adjust knobs. It rode very smooth and was very easy to maneuver while on the highway and in the city.

Dependable SUV nothing like a Ford

I owned 3 Fords so far and they were all dependable vehicles. I always knew that my family was safe when in them. I knew when I was looking for the Explorer I wouldn’t be let down. It’s the right size, gets good gas mileage and has plenty of room. It’s fun to drive and has great lines.

Only had it a few days

Very roomy, stylish, peppy. I love that it has a third row seat. It seems awkward to climb back there since the middle seats don’t fold down all the way but they’ll rarely be used anyway. Other than that, the car is comfortable and enjoyable to drive.
