My 1989 Ford Escort, that was handed down from my father is the best car i ever drove. Its gas millage is amazing. I wish Ford would continue them. And remember, you cant kill an Escort!!

1989 Ford Escort Pony
This was the worst car i ever owned. Just about everything had to be replaced before i reached 90,000 miles. Even the door stereo speakers & dashboard split and dry rotted out. I can't express enough how much misery this car caused me. All of the care and repairs i made on it and on average about every 3 months after the third year, it was on the rack for some kind of major repair. For 5 years i was working and living to only pay for the car.I had payments for 5 years, but the car was junk at the start of the third year. Can you believe 3 starter motors in five years! Motor mounts a constant problem. The engine control module twice went out. A long list of other things.I'm so soured with Ford i wouldn't even consider driving another one ever again.Burn me one, but not twice. My 1995 Toyota Avalon as old as it is , i got it used, and so far it's been the best most reliable car i've ever owned.180,000 thousand miles and it's still going, even the A/C works. With the Escort, the blower motor went out the end of the third year.I was told they had to take the dashboard apart . The Ford dealer said the cost would be almost more than what the car was worth to fix the A/C.So for the next 2 years i had a working A/C compressor but a blower fan motor that was burnt out and they couldn't easily get to it because it was glued in with the dashboard assembly.I was dying in summer heat during the last two summers i owned it.This car was the biggest disappointment since the AMC Pacer!
