Don’t buy a car from drive time
Well I blame drive Time for selling me the car knowing that it had all the recalls on it in the first place when they should’ve taken it to ford they selfs.

AVOID THIS CAR AT ALL COST. ESP THE 2014 MODEL
I own the 2014 Ford Escape SE Eco Boost. The Turbo went out at 113,000 miles and cost $3500 to fix. At a 165,000 miles the Transmission went out and cost $4900 to fix. If/when the engine goes out, that's thousands of dollars more to spend. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. BUY A LEXUS, TOYATA....ANYTHING BUT THIS IF YOU ARE ON A BUDGET.

Pure junk
By far the worst and most costly vehicle I have ever owned. Transmission went at 170,000km multiple engine issues involving cracked head and poor turbo. Stay away from this vehicle. You spend more time and money maintaining this piece of crap then its ever worth

Reliable, safe, and will buy another
This vehicle was my sons first car that he saved up and helped pay for. The performance material on seats was nice to have the heated seat option with it. My son totaled his Escape after rear ending a car at a red light going over 45 mph. The car kept him safe and he walked away with no injuries. I was impressed with how safe this car kept my son and am thankful. We had no mechanical issues during the time he was driving it before the accident. It was fairly expensive for a small used car but it is mighty.

Let it get washed away!
I've had a 2014 Ford Escape since 2017 and have grown to despise it. The vehicle itself is ALRIGHT but not worth owning. My ownership experience has been that of making it to where I no longer want to drive at all. Unfortunately living in South Florida and commuting irregular hours make that impossible. My hope is that it'll get "totaled out" next Hurricane Season. Cruise control works which is about the only thing that makes long trips tolerable. Also the engine barely has enough power to even take on a big hill here in Florida.

Don't Expect High Mileage
We have always been Toyota people, which set us up to expect a car to easily go 250,000-300,000 miles or more. That is probably why is was particularly galling when our 2014 Ford Escape blew its transmission at less than 100,000 miles. What a waste of money.

2014 Ford Escape
My 2014 Ford Escape has engine problems with the timing chain and other things that massed my engine 😑 if you have a recall on the 2014 I would like to know about . I really loved my vehicle but now I am with it. I still owed the bank money for it and the bank doesn't want the vehicle. I don't know what to do about it. Please let me know if you have any recalls on my 2014 Ford Escape
