Escape With Sport Appearance Package and Sync
What can I say! This Escape is black with black and silver wheels. It is so hot! The Sport Appearance Package really gives it an aggressive look. The Sync feature is so awesome too. It can play your Ipod or answer your phone and you don't have to take your hands off the wheel. You just tell it what to do and it's done!

Save yourself a headache!
I had my vehicle in the shop within a month for a very annoying noise coming from the drive belt. After multipule visits and attempts to fix the problem Ford Corporate said my noise "was a characteristic of some Escape and Marineer models"..."there are things to be done to temporarily fix the issue but it will continue to be an annoyance for the customer." Reference Special Service Number 21233 (if you can find it). Ford cannot fix the problem and will not replace the vehicle. If you happen to buy the Lemon on the lot, be ready for a huge headache.

transmission trouble
Purchased new 2010 Escape In Feb., It has been in shop 3x's for a total of 7 weeks resulting in a new transmission being installed. The car is scheduled to go back to the shop this Tues. because the transmission is still slipping between 3rd and 4th gear and feels like the brake is being applied when it is down shifting. It also is making strange noises. Before purchasing this car type "2010 Escape transmission trouble" in google search bar and read what Ford customers have been dealing with. I wish I had...

1st time SUV buyer
I was hesitant to buy an SUV as I wasn't sure how I'd like driving a 'truck'. My fears were allayed with the first step on the gas pedal. It's an extremely comfortable and quiet ride. The backseat easily fits 3 adults with a lot of comfort. I enjoy it more and more with each mile I drive.

Bang for the $$$$
Had a 2002 Escape and traded for an 2009 Matrix. What a mistake! No comparison, the Escape was superior to the Matrix and I suffered with that Matrix for 18 months before I finally thought, enough!!!! Went out and traded that Matrix for a 2010 Escape, feels great to be home again in my Ford.

Love it ; Has a Few Annoying Issues
I bought the Escape in 2009; the first SUV I've owned. I tested other SUV's but immediately liked the Escape's large open interior, great window visibility and nimble handling. It's comfortable, quiet on the road and handles easily in city traffic or on the highway. Now the negatives: it's a little gas guzzler but to be fair I can't expect otherwise for a V6 4 wheel drive. And I live in Canada where winter driving is hard on gas. It's not a Volkswagen after all! Fords are known for their rattles and mine is no exception. I have a creak somewhere in the back hatch that the dealer tells me "all hatches have rattles". I lube the hatch but the squeak always comes back. I hate that there are no grab bars inside. I'm a short woman and I need them to get in and out. The fixtures are a bit plastic and chintzy. But these are all minor flaws. Overall I love my Escape and I got it in the nice green that is easy to find in parking lots.

Great for the money, lots of features
I am really enjoying my new Escape. I have had it about 3 months now and love its handling in the winter weather. The vehicle is comfortable but a little snug for adults in the back seat. Decent cargo room in the back as well as plenty of power for the V6. I bought mine with the sports appearance package which included 17 inch black wheels, black bumpers, black wing on rear and all black interior. Would have liked to had heated seats but I was getting pretty picky. I do hear odd sounds from time to time, but no issues. Overall a great buy for the money.
