I’ll never own another car!
My 2006 is coming up on 17 years and 155,000. No major mechanical issues, ever! My mechanic said it’s not even breathing hard yet. At age 65, I’ll die before the car does. I told my wife to bury me in it. No matter which way I go, I’ll have a comfortable ride getting there.

Will accomplish what I bought it for and more
I was planning on going Land Speed Racing on a paved Standing Mile under the sanction of the East Coast Timing Association. I needed a car capable of running 135-138 MPH in a Standing Mile and be reliable enough to drive from 50 miles west of Atlanta to Blytheville, Ar. With myself, my Brother and a friend and all of our gear for a four day trip. I researched the Crown Vic PO71 Police Interceptor which came with 30 more HP than a standard Crown Vic. It has a heavy duty transmission with a transmission cooler, a 3” aluminum driveshaft, a 3:55 to 1:00 Positraction rear end, heavy duty shocks and sway bars. For reliability I had the transmission drained and serviced, oil and filter changed and The differential drained and synthetic filled with synthetic grease. For Performance I had a 90 MM Throttle Body installed, and a Cold Air Induction Kit, 30,000 Volt Plug Coils and new Triple Platnum Spark Plugs. I had Stainless Steel Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors with Ceramic Brake Pads installed. My Brother Barry did the Throttle Body, Cold Air Induction and the brake work in addition to installing two Racing Bucket Seats in front and I installed a center console. I had W Rated performance tires installed then for reliability I had new front wheel bearings and rear Axle Seals installed. Someone remOved two Catalitic Convertors and the factory mufflers and Installed two Flowmaster40 Mufflers existing in front of the rear tire on each side. All rubber hoses, radiator hoses and clamps were replaced. Lastly that car was carried to Moes S’peed Shop in Hiram Ga. for a Computerized Tuneup. It should be making around 340 BHP.

FORD CROWN VIC POLICE INTERCEPTOR GREAT CAR!!!
LOTS OF ROOM, SUPER SMOOTH, AND HAS POWER! V8 Cylinder and radio system which is super loud and the car absorbs bumps very nicely because of the weight of this car - its a heavy car!

Best ride ever
This car has a wonderful ride and the power you'll ever need. I believe it has the interceptor motor. If I didn't move to Montana, I would never put this car on the market

a lemon
have been a fan of the panther platform but this particular car was a headache. constant problems with heat ac controls. ac stopped working properly at 60000 mi.. replaced intake. replaced heater controls and broke again at 70000. 87000 miles bottom end noise in motor. had enough. traded for 04 grand marquis. hope I have better luck with it. a co worker has a 1995 grand with over 200000 miles and still going so I know theyre capable cars

Great car
Very comfortable, smooth ride but responsive. Good pickup, and plenty of power to pass. Repair parts are plentiful and reasonably cheap. I hope this car lasts many years.

Loving my Crown Vic
I inherited my crown vic from my uncle in Sparks, Nevada. This gargantuan beauty can MOVE, but boy does she like to drink (averaging 15mph in the city). My sister likes to remind me of her Cavalier's 30mpg on the freeway, and in exchange, I always enjoy reminding her of the Cavalier's heat-cracked dash, and the fact that in the same amount of time it took her to throw $1,500 in repairs into her car from wear n' tear, I still haven't put a penny into repairing my ford...because I've never needed to. Unlike Californian Vics, mine had the spotlight, and push bumper pulled off, and the interior is some sort of rugged plastic. Even so, the adjustable lumbar support, sheer amount of space, and overall sense of quality construction makes for a very comfy ride; quite, too! The trunk is ridiculous; my parents own 2 Saturns ('01 SL1, and '04 Ion) Each car holds only a smidgen over half as much as the Crown Vic. Mine now has 114,361 miles on it, and runs like a dream. At this rate 228,722 isn't even a question, this car is solid.
