greastest truck ever
i've driven plenty of trucks, gmc, chevy, ford, nissan, toyota driven them all and by far my dodge is the best, it only has the 245hp 4.7 v8 but it out preforms larger engines and my fuel economy is amazing i've gotten up to 33mpg and i average 22-25mpg one everyday streets although city trafic will kill its milage. the only reason it has 4 stars for features is that it doesn't have a hemi.

Really exceptional truck
This truck is great. The Chevy Silverado is better, but this runs a respectable second. I'm 6'3" and this truck fits me. Comfortable, reliable and drop-dead gorgeous. The only problems I have encountered are: gas mileage is not good at all (but I knew that going in) and I have a V-6, which really doesn't have much power. In fact, I towed a very small camping trailer, and never got over 55 miles per hour (even going down hill) and I would estimate the average speed of the three hour trip to be about 40 MPH. Wow, long trip!

Want to get rid of the truck
I bought this truck 3 months ago because my RWD Dodge Charger was having trouble getting me through the Minnesota Winters. Before the Charger I had a pickup but the $4.00 a gallon gas prices killed me. I missed everything about trucks so I got a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 with 32,000 miles on it. Sharp looking truck with the Big Horn Edition chrome accents. Not much room in the back seat but I was aware of that. Cosemetically and mechanically it has been a nightmare. The chrome bumper started to corrode after about a month but I was able to buff it out after some hard work. The clear coat is coming off the body side moldings and after handwashing it some paint came off the front bumper cover. Yesterday it started to leak coolant like a sive. Anyone know of any good cars to trade a 07 Ram for?

Love it
Great looking truck. Love the power, comfort and the smooth ride. The best part is I have the quad-cab and there is plenty of room for my kids in the back. The booster seat and the seat base fit in easily. My three year old loves daddy's truck. Just a fun, practical vehicle at an affordable price.

Never was a Dodge guy before...til now.
This is a fantastic truck! I have owned a new Ford F250 Superduty and new GMC. This Dodge 1500 surpasses both easily is style, power, comfort and quality. VERY IMPRESSED! Have never been a Dodge guy, but looked at the Dodge due to styling and value. I am SO happy I did. Love this new truck!

Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4
Bought this truck 4,000 miles ago and love it. Get about 17 MPG on the highway and just over 13 around town. Tow my Jeep with it which weighs 4,300 pounds and the 5.7 Hemi does not even grunt and the brakes of the truck bring it to a safe stop. MPG drops to about 14 MPG while flat towing the Jeep. The only reason I gave the interior 3 stars was because it is fairly spartan in its design, this happens to be something I like however with a truck. To me simple is good. Interior storage space is downright genius. Wish the 4x4 was a manual engagement instead of electronic but you do gain the floor space in return, just cycle between 2HI and the 4WD modes on the appropriate surfaces on a regular basis. I paid 18K for this truck from a private party and it had all of the maintenance records included as well as an unblemished CarFax report. Needed new tires at 44,000 miles which I replaced with the stock model for around $800 for the complete job.

Good solid truck
My wife and I have had our 2007 Dodge Ram Quad Cab for over 2 years now. It has been a perfect performer as far as reliability. It has never been back to the dealer for warranty work of any kind. We've had no problems at all. Our truck has the v6 and 6 speed manual. The v6 is very good for city and around town or even on the freeway as long as there are no mountains or big hills. That is when the engine turns gutless. The six speed seems to have been put in this truck just so the driver can get more excersize by needless shifting. The 5 speed would have made much more sense. All in all it's been a very good, reliable truck but would like to try out a 2009 with the coil springs on back. I'm sure it would have a better ride.

1-year review
After one year of driving, I have to say the verdict is still really good for this truck. I have the TRX4 Edition, and love the sporty features it has. I have the 5.7L Hemi and the gas mileage has slowly started increasing. I'm averaging 15mpg all around now, so that's not too bad. I have not had a single mechanical issue. It's been great in the snow, it pulls a trailer well, and it has no problem hauling some serious weight. Looks like a keeper. Especially with the lifetime powertrain.
