2005 Dodge Ram 1500 consumer reviews

Have owned this truck 11 years, being the best one I have own, replaced only the parts that where out over time and miles. Have over 195500 miles on it now and still runs like new, with the 4.7 engine.

Out of all 4 wheel drive trucks I have owned this was the first to ever have a front bearing go out without warning and have a wheel almost fall off. Dodge and GM turn out junk

Bought the truck new in November 2005. Has been a fun truck, great performance from the Viper all aluminum V10 engine. When the the truck was new it did a 13.5 second 1/4 time for me, 60,000 miles later, still does a 13.5 1/4 mile. Have used the truck as an everyday driver, work truck, towed my race trailer with MX bikes in it, works good at most anything. Mileage or MPG is about what you would expect for a 500 HP truck, about the same as most other quad cab trucks with an automatic transmission that weighs 6000lbs with a driver and 1/2 tank fuel, about 10-14 mpg. Very comfortable for long trips, very good handling and stability at speed. The dislikes are the factory Pirelli 305mm Scorpions, junk in any type of frost or snow, tread life maybe 10,000 miles, side walls way too thin and fragile, way to easy to pop. Have Yokohama's on now after about 4 sets of OEM tires. That, and the front spoiler/air dam is way to low. But, overall a great truck, and will still buy another one with low miles, in the near future, as they will one day be a cool collector truck or vehicle.

This is my 2nd one of the same model and has been proven to be a very reliable truck! It gets through any weather with its 4 wheel drive and I trust it to keep my family safe. I even took it on a soft sand beach where only 4WD vehicles were allowed and it was awesome!

This is a very reliable truck. I have experienced plenty of power and towing capabilities. The leather interior is very comfortable, and excellent condition very well maintained. Rides very smoothly and definitely gets the job done.

Great Truck, super fast, very comfortable. I love the Hurst Manual Shifter. The headers with exhaust cut out's are awesome. Great Infinity Sound System, Excellent Braking System

Truck drivetrain was strong interior stuff like nobs and switch?s are cheaply made wasn?t the most comfortable seats but all in all a very reliable truck

This vehicle was a super powerful truck not alot of leg room but enough to get by with ok gas mileage for such a big truck

I think this is the best truck you can buy for work doing things around City and Country. It's very reliable and dependable. No matter what I was doing the truck could do it. When I had to work and move all my heavy equipment it did not give me no problems or concerns after the fact. It kept on treating me like the truck I bought brand new.

going from my gmc to the dodge was defiantly i trade up in the right direction the gmc was a good around town truck but lacked the workhorse capability of the dodge and i really like the better turning radios of this dodge .
