Good suv
I love the 3rd row seat. Not a ton of room, but at least I have the option of more people in the car, unlike the other midsize suvs I looked at. It handles good, and I am getting good highway gas mileage too. 27-28mpg.

Australian Dodge journey review
Dodge does exist in Australia- Just. No marketing to speak of, and they are up against a huge amount of competition- including the excellent locally produced Ford Territory. However we happened across the car and we were "gobsmacked" by the value. Dodge sell the SXT and the R/T here and we went for the 2012 SXT. This has the FWD 3.6l v6, 7 cloth seats, climate, bluetooth but not satnav. It's a fantastically comfortable car for Australian urban roads with great ride, super seats, amazing storage and a feel of quality. When BMW import most of their cars from South Africa, Holden (GM) sell the excrable Berlina made in Korea, getting a car built in Mexico is no big deal and so far I am truly impressed. The school run here is loaded with big 4WD's in the AU$100-150,000 range and the Journey still turns heads and its a third of the price. And the big test- the kids think its "cool" A really good car that should have a far bigger sale then it does. Of course it will drop in value faster than other cars but as it was cheap in the first place we are not too concerned. Incidentally this is a relative thing- cars in Australia retain anything from 60-70% of their value after three years.

Best value SUV
I am a salesman and puton about 45,000 kms per year. Just purchased the STX model, 3.6 ltr. two months ago. Gas mileage has averaged around 20 mpg and up to 26 mpg on hwy with power to spare. I'm 6'4'', 220 lbs and the Journey has the most head and shoulder room of any vehicle I've driven. Feels slightly larger and more solid than the caravan I drove last, not quite as agile but smoother and quieter. I love the dash and instrumentation arrangement for access to information and ease of accessability. It was the lowest price for comparable models with same features. Warranty was not as good as others so hoping that I wont require any major service after it has expired. Never had any problems with the Caravan in 350,000 kms. I love driving the Journey so far and am extremely happy with its performance.

The performace amd handling is great
The performace of the 3.6 V6 is great. Fuel economy is fair for the weight of the vehicle. Ride is a little stiff and not entry room is less. I like the feathers such as keyless entry and start and remote start.

A rare gem that won't break your budget
This is the best 7 passenger vehicle under $30,000 money can buy. Its stylish inside and out and rides like a Luxury Car. I used to have my 3 kids in the back of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now I put the oldest in the 3rd row and I don't feel like he's in my ear while I'm driving anymore. In fact if he dosen't speak up I can't hear him. Also love the new "ring of fire" LED tail lights and chrome tip duel exhaust. It adds the $35,000 look without the price tag. The seats all slide easily for quick ins and outs. If I had to list a con it would be that the transmission is not geared towards using all 283 hp the car has. Its not the fastest off the line but if you are on the freeway and get on it you won't have trouble passing or going up a hill with loaded passengers. Also some projection headlights would have been nice instead of the halogan bulbs. All in all I can't complain this is a nice SUV.

Pleasantly Surprised
Spent a ton of time decided what vehicle to get for both my work (I drive a lot) and my family of 5. After considering everything from a Traverse to a CX9 to an Equinox and even a Rav4, I couldn't walk away from the Journey. I would not say the outside is overly stylish, but the inside is incredibly comfortable. I traded in a Magnum R/T with a Hemi, so I was a little worried about the power. Again, pleasently surprised here as well. I purchased the V6 Crew and it is loaded up. The seats are super comfortable and the overall ride is great. I did not have a ton of luck with the Magnum from a reliability perspective, but this car was too much value to pass up. I am extremely happy and would easily recommend it anyone. Coincidently a co-worker just told me that she might get one now that she saw mine!

Love My Dodge
I don't quitre understand why people are having some issues I have had my Dodge Journey since March and love it. I left Dodge for a Buick big mistake. Now I have a Dodge again and fell in love again. This Dodge Journey gets great mileage if you follow the speed limit and use cruise control as much as possible. I get 22mpg in town and just took it for the first road trip and got between 28-29 mpg on the highway. I love the storage features. I would highly recommend this car to another person. It is very comfortable and the kids love it also.

Love My Journey!
I bought my 2012 Journey SXT w/8.3" touch screen about 6 weeks ago. I LOVE how smooth it drives and the power it has (we got a V6) Great fuel economy! It gets better after the break in period too! I LOVE the extra storage under passenger seat cushion & in 2nd room floor boards- great feature for families with kids! I almost bought a Chevy Equinox but liked the 3rd row option of the Journey. The Chevy Traverse has a 3rd row but is significantly more than the Journey, so that made our decision easy. The only complaint I have is I was suprised that things like Bluetooth are not standard on a base model Journey, because Bluetooth is standard on a base Traverse AND Equinox. My parents bought a Dodge Caravan right after I bought my Journey and their's came w/a rear DVD system but no Bluetooth! We were baffled by that. On my Journey, we paid I think $900 extra for the U-Connect & Bluetooth and I don't think it should be that expensive for what most would consider a safety feature. So I think it's lacking some basic standard features, but other than that, it's fantastic.

Needed an all wheel drive
So far very satisfied with this vehicle. It rides nice and is quiter than my dodge caliber. They did skimp on the glove box and the speedometer is had to read for mph. Overall I am satisfied at this point.

GREAT VEHICLE
I've owned approx 18 months with 17,00 miles on it my driving is approx 50% highway/50% city. averaging 22 miles per gallon. on recent trip to outer banks, overall got 27-28 mpg. Never had car serviced for anything but oil changes. Brakes still original along with tires. The way brakes and tires look probably will get over 30,000 thousand on them. very happy with purchase
