Realiable

I owned my Avenger for six years, and did not have a problem with it. I bought it with just under 13k miles and drove it over 90k. With proper oil changes, and general maintenance, this car had zero problems. At around 85k, some of the cv joints in the car began to squeak, but that's pretty much it. The 285 hp v6 engine left many of the competition in the rear view mirror! Loved the Avenger, Dodge made a very reliable car.

The Avenger is my 1st American car since 1995

The car is solidly built, quiet inside and a very smooth ride. The stereo ranks higher than any I have ever owned except a 2002 trailblazer. Anyway this American car is top notch.

Reliability, best features for the money.

Its a good car. I bought mine early 2012 new. Its held up to countless beatings and neglect. At this time it has 96,000 miles and it still drives like it did when I purchased it. I did have a issue with a leak in the trunk around the brake light but that was fixed under warranty. I'm very happy with my purchase.

My favorite sedan for a grandma

I owned this car for 6 years and loved it. Drove my grand children places and had plenty of room. Also took my 82 year old mom to several doctor apt's out of my state. Was so sad that I was in an accident with a 4 wheel drive truck that hit my passenger's side with my 4 yr old grand daughter sitting there. The side air bags kept her safe & I only had a bruise from the seat belts even tho the car is totaled. Would love to drive another one just like it. Great comfort and plenty of power. No troubles at all in the 80,000 that I drove it. Decent gas mileage too. Very sharp red sedan for a 60 year old granny.

Love the Look

I just got my 2011 Lux used 2 weeks ago moving up from a 2009 G6. The looks inside and out are great. The car has 78,000 miles on it, I bought it from a reputable dealer. No squeaks, rattles in the interior. The leather is in excellent shape. I drive some rougher roads so I expect to be very careful with the wheels. It does take corners a LOT different than my G6. It seems kinda squirrelly, almost like I'm oversteering once I come out of the turn, but it is used and new to me. The sound system is very cool but I'm having trouble removing the old songs from the hard drive. It's not explained very well in the manual. You can't listen to the song and delete it. On the listening side the song is #6, on the delete side it might be track 2 of File 2. I need to delete 80 songs. This is a great used car . I love driving it.

Paint Quality

This is an update from my previous review posted on 7/11/2012. I now have 55K miles and the car is still running reliably and strong. I'm back up to my 8,000 mile oil change intervals and haven't had any mechanical issues. I've added a cold air intake to squeeze a little extra performance. To give it a sportier look, I tinted the windows and added the blacked out R/T headlights. The interior is still holding up nicely overall although a rattle has developed somewhere in the sunroof cover. My big complaint has to do with the paint quality. I don't know if it's how the car is shaped or what. The paint has developed, for a lack of a better word, pock marks where the body flares out ahead of the rear wheels. I'm glad that I have a silver car because I'm sure it would stand out more on other colors. Also, the paint seems to be wearing out on the lower, front corners of the rear doors. Surface rust is actually starting to show up. I love this car and there is a lot of quality overall but the paint issues are disconcerting. Chrysler upgraded the paint shop at the Sterling Heights plant (where the Avenger was built) in 2014 for the new 200 so, hopefully, this paint issue is a remnant of the old Daimler-era Chrysler

Good Car

I just bought the car. I like how sporty it looks.. it was this car or a mini van mama! I think the trunk is a bit small but Im used to my impala. Also it doesnt handle well going around corners. I really like the interior of the car and the sound system is AWESOME! I turn mine up when my kids arent with me. It has GREAT fuel economy for living in the mountains I was SUPER impressed! I got the car at a really great deal too! I just wished it handled better
