I bought a used 2001Pt cruiser and love the car it’s roomy runs ok and looks nice it’s a keeper for me maybe one day a collectors vehicle good on gas too

Found this car for $500 started up and drove it away.Now this car was on my list of wouldn't want to own cars but since buying it I have learned to love it since as a arborist which means tons of tree climbing equipment and a Father of 2 boys it has room for everything.This car owes me nothing and I'm even putting money in for upgrades ......love this thing

I bought this jalopy for 3500. 2001 pt cruiser limited. 80.000 miles. It needed some work, brakes, bushings, new power steering pump. Probably needs a timing belt and new water pump, but for something that’s 21 years old..it’s obviously in need of some work, as long as it’s not an engine or transmission. I’m ok with it. Mileage in this day of 5 dollars a gallon gas sucks at around 20 mpg. But it starts and runs. In ok shape. I’m happy so far.

Most comfortable car seats I've ever sat in, making it especially good for long distance trips. Versatile and reliable. Still have the original transmission and engine. Nothing has fallen apart or broken inside the car, such as the awesome stereo and CD player. I've owned 2 Toyotas, a Mitsubishi, and 2 Volkswagen, and this car tops them all for longevity. I'm continuing to keep this car because I love how it can become a good hauler when the seats are folded down where I can put in big bushes and small trees and lumber, etc. I love the dark teal blue-green color with its shiny clear coat that is still holding up, and also the rounded contours of the body style as it reminds me of days gone by and my old Volkswagen Beetle. I'm an artist, and when I look at all the other cars, they all look the same. With my kayak rack on top and portable bike rack on the back, I can have all the fun I want, and get a lot of work done too while still feeling sporty and unique. My father was a top Chrysler executive in Detroit, running the Dodge body and paint plants during the 1950's to 70' in Hamtramck. He always told us kids to buy American, yet we didn't listen. Now I finally have, and though my father's in heaven now, I know that he's looking down at me and smiling. I'll never sell my car. I'll pass it down to a loved one or keep it for a museum someday. For now it'll continue to be my closest memory of my father. When I'm in a bind driving, like when I was crossing the Rockies in a snowstorm, I know he takes the wheel sometimes. I can feel it.

Solid vehicle that is cute to drive and really handy to haul items. The backseats not only lay flat but are also removable. Lots of features on the premium model and the body is still gorgeous to look at.

Just purchased a 2001 PT Cruiser with 88 + thousand miles new purple paint job, new dash, leather interior, chrome wheels, alarm, ac, electric windows, doors, sun roof, super super very clean car and runs great, I'm in the process of maintenance work, changed the oil and breaks, do a full tune up, replace the lower control arms, bushings are worn, replace all tie rods, way bar bushings, struts an shocks, motor mounts have been changed, so far so good not bad for 1800 bucks.

I owned a 2005 PT Cruiser LTD for almost 7 years. LOVED it! Someone pulled out of a restaurant right in front of me, and it was totalled. I miss it. So...I bought another one, 4 years older, also a PT Cruiser LTD, but this one is a Turbo. Very, very nice, sturdy car. I love it. It has some issues - can smell gasoline leak, but no one seems to be able to locate it. Also, it "bucks", or "jolts" when braking - sometimes - but not sure it is the transmission. Could be electrical issue. Other than that - it is comfortable, roomy, cute, and really glad I got it.

I'm 6'5 220. Beside me 3 adults can fit. Its an '01 with 120.650 miles. I'm just now replacing its goodies. I've owned it 8 years. Would love to compile a plethora of cruisers non turbo.

At the time i needed a car so i bought this and was happy wirh it and things started to go wrong with the car ans it has been one thing after another

I absolutely love this car. I ordered the 2001 Limited with all available options when it first came out and waited nearly 10 months before it arrived at the dealership. It's been an awesome experience and has never disappointed or failed me. It's been the most reliable car I've ever owned and it's still going strong. I've taken good care of it and I make sure that it will keep running. I looks great and all it needs is some attention and care and replace parts when necessary and it keeps going and going. I have the Patriot Blue color with the grey leather interior. It's a fantastic car but not great on mileage yet when I need to haul things about I'm always amazed at how much this car can carry. It's a little workhorse and fun to drive. Maybe I baby it but it's been a loyal and dependable friend and it's worth it. It's my "Roger Rabbit" go to fun to drive choice.
