1983 New Yorker, Bad on Gas, Good on Comfort
This car was used as my daily driver to and from class and work. The gas mileage was about as bad as a truck, but the car did not have any engine or transmission problems

One of the best cars I've owned
The 440 was a great engine. the car would go faster than I had money for tires. It had a 10 body trunk. The styling was right uptown.

Excellent Road Trip Car !!!
My wife and I purchased a 1993 New Yorker Salon in 2007. The car now has roughly 90,000 miles on it. We previously owned a 1992 New Yorker. Our New Yorker has been very reliable. In June 2009 we put over 2,000 miles round trip on our car while vacationing in Akransas, Missouri and Tennessee. We had no problems whatsoever. With juducious use of crusie control we averaged 26-28 mpg highway. This is an excellent "road trip" car. Our only major expense on this car was converting the A/C system from R-12 to R-134a prior to our trip. Also, any owner of a modern Chrysler product must use Mopar ATF-4 in their automatic transmission. Dexron and Mercon transmission fluids will destroy your automatic transmission!!! =
