great car

I have 'owned' (Leasebuster's sub-let) for almost a year - my first North American car in decades. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Great looks and performance mostly because its the LTZ top of the line model. Incredible sound system and I am now hooked on Serius satellite radio. Even with the engine eco feature (3 cylinders shut down at cruising speed) the vehicle is still 'thirsty'.

2007 Impala 27000 miles

I had driven nothing but Suburbans for 33 years before buying an Impala in June 2007. After nearly 3years of driving I can honestly say I have been pleasantly surprised by this car. Have had warranty work only once.(minor) Average MPG is 30mpg and highway is 32mpg. On one long trip (no freeway) I got 34mpg. I calculate my mileage to tenth of a mile and tenth of a gallon. No estimates! This car operates very smooth and quite. I expect to be driving this car with nothing but routine maintenance for several more years

Good Car for the Money

We just bought our used 2007 Impala LT w/ the 3.9L (Active Fuel Management system)engine at the end of September 2009. So far we've put on 4K in 2 1/2 months of mixed driving and averaged 23 MPG (which is not bad for such a large car). The Bose sound system is great, as are the large controls and placement of the controls. My only gripe would be the soft touring suspension (I was used to driving a VW Jetta before) and the seats could be more supportive (could also use Memory seatin). Otherwise, this a great car for the money and features.

Best buy out there.

Ordered a 2007 LTZ from local dealer. Car came in exactly as ordered. Factory replaced A/C compressor about 15 months after purchase - dealer pulled lead mechanic off the car he was servicing to replace compressor the minute it came in. Six cylinder cuts back to three cylinders at certain RPM's. Gets 35-40 mpg in town - and 31-33 mpg highway at 55 mph. Gets about 30-31 mpg highway at 65 mph. I paid around $21,000 after rebates and GM Card credits - car will still sell for $18,000.

Chevrolet is So Close!

This vehicle is provided to me as a company car and is one of several Impalas I have had in the past. So far it has turned out to be the best. Its advantages include a huge trunk, comfortable yet sporty ride, and more than enough power. I am disappointed with Chevy in a few areas. Of the last four Imaplas I have had, three (including this one) have had a problem with a noise in the steering linkage and apparently Chevy can't find a solution to the problem. I am also somewhat disappointed with the fuel economy. My previous Impalas all got around 28 mpg in mixed driving. This one is lucky to get 23 mpg, and that is with the engine option that shuts three cylinders down while cruising on a straight and level road. Chevy also robbed some rear seat room from the prior version and gave it to the trunk. The rear seats are a tight fit for larger passengers. All-in-all it has been a fine car and a great value for the money.

2007 LTZ 4 door sedan

This is our third Impala. Purchased used in 2008. Handles great, looks great. However, the last two Impala's we owned we always had 30-33 mpg on the highway. We can't get this one past 24. With today's technology, this is unacceptable. Very disappointing.

Nice car!

I'm driving a company car, 2007 Impala LT. The gas mileage has been around 23 MPG. The 3.9L V-6 has plaenty of power and I think this is a great American car.

Best Value Near Full Size -Near Luxury-Near Perfor

Bought a 2007 Chevy Impala 3LT with upgraded heated leather power adjustable seats. Features include: 3.9L V6, sports suspension, 17-inch alum wheels, traction control, side airbags, rear spoiler, body side mouldings. On balance, the car is right sized sedan for my needs: ample interior passenger space, huge 19 cubic ft. trunk with added expandability/storage space by back seat backs folding down. Performance is great, safety 5-star, fuel economy 29 mpg on highway because of engine sophistication, a joy to drive. Quality is as good as "foreigh competition" and 85% made in USA (final assembly in Canada). While living in Belgium have owned Honda Accord and Audi A4 GT and drove the autobahns. Like my new Impala a "little" more than my new Audi. No car is perfection and Chevy Impala is best value solution for my requirements !
