I got my '84 Corvette from the original owner, a deceased

I got my '84 Corvette from the original owner, a deceased family member. The car only has 21k miles, but it hadn't been driven in several years before I took ownership. Having owned a C3 Corvette, I already had an appreciation for Corvettes in general. I initially didn't want the '84 because I had read many negative comments about the Crossfire fuel injection system. However, it was a good deal, and I wanted a new project. Today, I am happy to say that I love this car. Like any car that is 40 years old, you will need to replace/rebuild some things, like gaskets, vacuum hoses, throttle bodies, and whatnot. Overall, it was great to do some wrenching again, and with a few upgrades, this car runs very well and is reliable. I also realized that those who talk about the '84 year negatively never own one and just repeat the nonsense they've heard about the car.

Fast, Removable Top, Rebuilt Eng & Trans-low miles

This has been a great car for us. The removeable top makes it feel like youre in a convertible. One of the reasons I got this car is it?s sleek look it has & looks like it?s fast. It is just that... Fast with a V8 & a Rebuilt Engine & Transmission that only has 30,000 miles on it. I hope whoever?s buys it has as much fun with it as we have!

1984 Corvette Crossfire Its very reliable!

I have a 1984 Crossfire Corvette Z51 Its been extremely reliable no issues yet only had to change 1 bulb and just the regular maintenance items. Oil, filters, plugs and wires. By far the best driving car I have ever owned! 45,000 original miles on the clock find one that has been taken care of and you will be happy, you get what you pay for so pay up for the well maintained low mileage Corvette and you will be happy!

A mechanic use to own this 89 vette.

Well maintained mostly highway miles. Previous owner gave me a list of what He has done to this beautiful car. Definitely an attention grabber especially on chicks. Available is a computer chip that he gave me to get more horses. 100% synthetic oil. He only use premium gas to compliment the high performance fuel injectors. Currently the car is insured for $16000 by state farm. Has a high value of over $16000. You wanna test drive it?. Please serious inquiries only.

Outstanding Classic Value

People say the 1984 isn?t the best choice of Corvette but This Cross Fired Tuned V-8 has proven to be the best motor I?ve owned of 35 cars. Smooth muscle sound gets up and flies with a teamed auto 4 speed tranny. The Dash instruments still work as they should and this one is all original with 49k miles. Turns heads like a new $100,000 Corvette but under $10,000.

Be Prepared

Don't get me wrong, I think the c4 corvettes are great value for the money. But if you're on a budget I wouldn't recommend. You've got to be ready financially to take care of a 30+ year old car.

33 Years Old and Still Running Perfect!

The little Red Corvette may not have the newest technology, but she runs like a Corvette should and turns as many heads. Red and clean, she roars like newer Mustang GTs and looks like a rocket. Although only 205 HP in this year (1984), she's geared well for the quick lane. Get one now priced well before the increase in value, or at least I think they will! Either way, it is a real Gem.

missed the mark

84 Vette was the first time that the Corvette was considered world class handling sports car, the car is missing the front and rear ground effects whats going on with that? This Vette could've been a real barn stormer but the intake manifold hadflint a restrictive flow of only 475 cfm which yielded a 15.6 @ 86 mph 1/4 mi time, with only a manifold change the car responded with a 14.3 @ 97 mph 1/4 mi time thats 1.3 sec & 11 mph better than stock. The intake was from Weiand looked exactly like the stock but flowed 1440 cfm due to the ports being the same size as the heads not 1/2 the size like the stocker
