Toughest truck I've ever owned.

This truck was bought new on special order on May 4th 1990. It is mostly used as our farm truck now. I love the four wheel drive, it helps going down the logging roads on the farm. It gets used as a truck such as hauling and towing trailers. It is used to access parts of the land that the other trucks won't get too (95 F150 4x4, 05 1500 2wd). It will certainly do things that my new truck won't do due to no ground clearance and the plastic front end of my new truck. Love it.

Rare, but not that rare.

Owner's numbers are a little off. MSRP of the 1990 model was US$18,295 with a US$550 destination charge. 16,953 total units were sold over the 4 years the 454SS was in production with 1990, the first year of production, selling 13,748 units alone. The 454SS was discontinued after the 1993 model year.
