CTS4 /CADILLAC TANK
POSSIBLY A GREAT CAR BUT---- IT RUMBLES GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ROAD SPEED AND THE ROAD NOISE IS EXCESSIVE - LIKE A SEMI TRUCK EXPECIALLY ON CONCRETE YOU NEED EAR MUFFS. NOISIEST CAR I HAVE ECER OWNED AND TRANSFERS BUMPS BAD!!! THE DEALER HASN.T RESPONDED TO THIS COMPLAINT . I WILL PROBABLY TRADE THIS YEAR. IT IS A CTS4 , MAYBE THIS CONTRIBUTES TO THE VIBRATION AND NOISES.

best car for the money
I traded my 05 Cadillac CTS with 168,800 miles not worth much it was used on sales, excellent car very reliable, the 08 is about the best looking car on the road in a long time, I used to have a Lexus but I was not impressed with the mechanical issues, I love the Caddy lower prive better looking, now at 29,000 miles in 1 year it runs perfect and good MPG great car.

Domestics still aren't stacking up...
Decent performance, poor fuel economy, nice looks, but absolutely horrible reliability! That's what will make me go back to imports.

Beautiful...but...
Have to admit it. I was dazzled by the marketing campaign...and the fact that it was the Motor Trend "Car of the Year" among other reviews. Beautiful car inside and out, and great to drive until coming to a stop. The brakes have squeeked when stopping since very early on. One service writer told me that was "normal". Another changed the rear brake pads, but that hasn't stopped it either. Had electrical problems with drivers seat, parking assist and other misc things. They changed a fuse and it fixed it for less than 3 days. Returned to dealer and then found that wiring under the drivers seat had been worn from the seat moving back and forth when entering and exiting the vehicle. They repaired the wiring and put tubing around it to prevent from reoccurring. Just one thing after another. Beautiful looking car, but the front end is so close to the ground that it requires backing into parking spaces to keep the vinyl piece from hitting the concrete stops. The frontseat is very comfortable, but the rear seat is pretty tight for passengers. Splurged on the $8K option pkg, and it has great features, but in retrospect, that's way too much.

Great Car withe Great Warranty
I purchased a pre-owned Cadillac CTS with 7,000 miles. It has a nice design and an even nicer interior. I really like the navigation system and cooled seats. The engine is plenty powerful, with 300 horsepower. Highway passing is effortless. The 6 speed manual transmission takes some getting used to, but has a very good clutch petal. It does not require premium gas, and I achieve 19 miles per gallon in the city, and 28 on the highway. The back seat is very large, and you will not be ashamed to take clients out to lunch in it! I previously owned a Mercedes Benz C320, which was a lemon. But this new Cadillac of mine is terrific.

American Contender
After considering the Mercedes C350, Lexus IS350, Infinity G37S, and the BMW 5 Series, my wife and I decided on the 2008 CTS. The ride, the looks, the interior ergonomics and options were great. The quality of fit and trim, along with the value of the available features, trumped the competition. We decided that we wanted a vehicle that did not look like anything else on the road and this 2008 CTS does just that with the looks it commands from passersby. It truly is a car that "turns us on when we turn it on"! When the two of us are riding in the CTS, the Ultraview Roof - the individual contoured heated and vented seats - encapsulating cockpit design - and the ambient lighting at night, gives us the feeling of riding along in our own personal individualized luxury compartments. GM got this one right and now "we feel as if we have arrived " in a true American Contender!

fun car to drive
The 2008 CTS accelerates nicely, corners well and rides quite well. It is almost a street rod and that is without the DI engine. I like it well enought to buy another this August. Have had Lexus and Mercedes for last 25 years - Cadillac can compete

One cool ride!
I nicknamed the car, Rad Kadi, for it's looks and performance and general feeling when driving it. I purchased the "car in the ads", Crystal Red and tan interior, and it has lived up to the billing as Car of the Year for me. There were two mechanical or structural problems that occured in assembly that have since been repaired, at no cost, and the car runs great. My only negative is the response of both dealer and corporate to my request for a good faith compensation for the time and effort, as well as moderate expense incurred in getting the car brought up to standards. It seems that General Motors is more interested in pushing back on the dealer for flaws in manufacture than in extending a gesture of good faith with the customer, a trait exhibited in reverse by the dealer. Darn shame too, as GM may win the nickel and dime battle, but lose the big bucks war of repeat business.

Worst Purchase!
I got this car 2 months ago and 1 hour off the lot the suspension snapped, which of coarse they don't cover over warranty, that was $6,000 of damage. It has also decided to break down every week. Never buy a Cadillac! Yes a 2008 CTS! It was $40,000 why didn't I buy that Audi TT or BMW 335i?
