superior vehicle!!

I have owned four cadillac CTS cars. A 2005, two 2006, and one 2007. All of these cars are superior. They are the best vehicles I have ever owned! All of these have the 3.6L engine. They are good on gas and have good pep! I highly recommend these cars to anyone at any age.

Great Value

Bought a 2006 CTS with luxury package and high miles but in flawless condition about one year ago. No problems with this vehicle to date. Very comfortable, quiet, unique styling. So far so good.

Problems

I purchased this car in Dec. 2005 and added the Calif. Luxury package as I am short and needed the 10-way seat, which the dealer removed, so it is impossible to drive except within a few miles of my hilltop home. It came without a lock on the glove compartment, as there is no valet key, so you can't carry ANYTHING you don't want taken in the trunk. This is something I didn't realize when I purchased the car from a slick salesman I have driven Cadillac cars since 1956 and this is the first lemon in the bunch. Being an elderly woman, the agency saw me coming and took full advantage of the fact.

Most elegant, and stylish car I have owned.

Outstanding car and fun to drive. It attracts so many looks from other car drivers. I will purchase my second 2006 CTS this week. I already own a 2005 CTS and a 2006 CTS. Our whole family loves these cars.

Great Car

I purchased a pretty basic car without many bells and whistles. Even at that I think this car looks and performs great. I was a little concerned about the 2.6 L engine but it is more than adequate. When I drive down the road now I notice other luxury cars and think " Mine looks better!" We took our first trip a few weeks ago and the car is so comfortable and pleasant to drive that you almost hate reaching your destination. My one complaint is that the paint does seem to be substandard.

The CTS Rocks!

The Sport handling package includes the Xenon HID headlights, and makes seeing at night much easier. Braking is the best, great turning radius, easy to park. Fit and finish seem perfect to me. Great power when needed, and if you are paying attention to your driving habits, mileage is fantastic too. Navigation, XM Radio, memory seats - my dream car. From a late 50's woman driver: This car is so much fun to drive there should almost be "a law against it"! I can't wait to get in it and drive every day. Corners like it's on rails - the most fun car I've had since my new 1974 260Z. Cadillac Certified 6 yr./100,000 mi. warranty is great, and I have the best dealer and service dept. No complaints at all about reliability at 23,000 mi. I wish I owned two!

Great car but it has issues

Our car has 38K miles and has been in the shop for several mechanical problems the most recent of which was a problem with the main computer. We like the styling and interior. The paint job is thin and could be better. We have the 6 cylinder and the pick up is very slow. On the other hand we have been getting great gas milage of 28 highway.

Great effort, but lacks the details that compete

Race on Sunday, sell on Monday was what brought me to the dealership. I enjoy watching the CTS-V's battling it out with the great makes/models from around the world. The sharp lines, the attractive interior and the great seats make this car a top-notch competitor to anything the world has to offer in the class. However, it is the fine details where Europe shows it's dominance. The interior door sills, radio plate and other surfaces are made of hard materials that I suspect won't wear well long-term. The car handles well even in base trim. The seats are the best that I sat in during my comparison shopping. I really only looked at the 300C(very hard & uninviting) & the 9-3aero(very nice). Overall, I was won over by the great combination of looks, style, and performance(within budget.)
