Lied about Recall...Dealership, told No Recall

Bought it used. Took it to Buick Dealership, was told there were NO RECALLs, at that time there was an active recall for Steering, of clip breaks loose control without notice. Engine light keeps coming on and On Star comes on when it is not active paid for, radio light is flashing, anti theft light keeps coming on and disabled starter. Can't go anywhere on a Vacation or Trip. Had it towed home 4 times due to starter shut down. Wondering if someone is shutting it off purposely. Preparing lawsuit as Buick dealership Service said No ReCalls on it. Was never notified of any recalls. Buick dealership kept it in Service for almost two hours just to give me a new key fob. Really $140 for key fob. Really...Single Mother with adult disabled daughter. Can't afford all this. Called The Area director who got rude with me as though I am at fault.

good car when it works and isnt in limp mode

like it when it works. unreliable though. side doors cant close automatically when its cold and the weather seals are stiff, the safety feature engages (prevents crushing any people and things in the automatic door) and reopens it. abs, traction control, stability control, mass air flow sensor have thrown it into limp mode several times. at highway speeds it goes into low gear and it feels like you slammed on the brakes as the vehicle swerves left into oncoming traffic, or spins off winter slippery roads, or wet roads. have never changed the evaporative emissions sensor so the check engine light stays on forever...

Hated to part with it.

I just traded (or gave away) my beloved '06 Terraza. Bought in'09 with 44-K miles on it, I let go of it at 230,000 miles. It still looks great and drives fine, just got worried about something major giving up. The air/hydraulic suspension was wonderful and took this van from a "grocery getter" to a "lumber hauler" whenever I had a project going. Without the 3rd row seating in, I could mount 2 road bicycles inside, standing up. Of course I had it serviced regularly and updated as necessary. The sliding doors never gave me any problem. I did have running boards installed as it does sit higher than others. The Buick, while it looked like all the other GM vans of the day, was never the same. It was rated as a truck and had independent rear suspension, not a "trailer axle". I'm going to miss it and the Grand Caravan I now have has a lot to live up to.

Wife LOVES it

bought used, so had minor issues. But w/200K miles, it's expected. Lots of neat bells and whistles. Not a race car, but the 3.6 has the power needed to keep you comfortable and legal. the 3.9 is even more powerful. Interior is nice, but there is little room to get to the 3rd row seat. The seat trays are horrible. they should have used a console. I'd buy this van again in a heartbeat, and I've owned 4 other vans from different manufacturers.

Worst "luxury"car ever

If it isn't one thing is another. Side doors won't work nothing on it is made to last, I can't believe they try to pass this as a family vehicle! Every time I put the right turn signal my head lights go crazy the AC is set for front seats only so everyone else in the car have to suffer in the heat. Every alert on the dash board comes an goes so you can't have it fixed. Just a nightmare of a vehicle I sold it for almost nothing hopping the new owners don't come hunt me for a refund!

The last of a great vehicle

The age of the "Family Minivan" has come and gone. While several manufacturers still provide a similar body style, most of them are priced way too high for the average family to own a new one. When GM stopped making Oldsmobiles, (the Silhouette being the best of the Minivans then), the Buick Terraza took its place. It had most everything you wanted on even the standard models, and on the top of the line styles, all the "bells and Whistles". I, like most everyone whoever owned one, just loved it. If Buick made them today, I would buy one in a minute. If you can find one, (they only made them in 2005 - 200)7, get id, because people who own them, keep them for at least 200,000 miles.

Afterthoughtengineering

Terraza seems to have been designed from the "Outside in" Rear seats can't lay flat-Headrest interference Takes a rocket surgeon to change a turn signal bulb. A great many owners are having various turn signal problems: intermittently reliable, Dim bulbs on one T/S light. Sliding cup holder-Try to put a lid on a coffee in holder and the cup holder collapses spilling coffee and burning user. Impossible to read instrument panel in sunlight. Steering makes popping sound when turning wheel. Loud intermittent roaring sound under hood, drivers side. Wind noise in passenger compartment.

Awesome Van in every way

This van is truly a luxury version that surpasses all of the other vans out there, including all of the other GM brand vans, uplander, relay, montana, silhouette, etc. It is truly luxurious, gets good gas, and has some serious power. Never had any negative issues with it.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

I have owned my 2006 Buick Terraza for 4 years now. I feel in love with this van from the time I first test drove it at the dealership. It had all the features I wanted plus more. Unfortunately, as time went by, the front grille panel cracked. It was replaced. The back seat latch malfunctioned. It was repaired. The drivers side floor foam mldg split. It was replaced. The side sliding door foam mldg peeled off. It was replaced. The starter-when I would turn on the engine, the starter would make a continuing running sound. The dealership could not duplicate this. Was never fixed, it is a hit or miss with this problem, at times it continues to do it. The battery went dead!!! A new one was put in. Now, the van is living at the Service Dept, because of ongoing problems with the Automatic Side Sliding doors. Once the doors malfunction, the chime goes off continuously, even while driving. Very Annoying.. This is a nightmare, I cannot take this van on long trips.. I am afraid to put my baby on the seat. The van is sitting at the dealership, right at this moment that I am writing this complaint. SEVENTH TIME! The dealership has attempted to fix it SIX times.. Nothing, the doors continue to close and open again. They do not stay closed. I have written to GM about this problem. The dealership is doing what they can about this problem. I have spoken to other Terraza owners, they also had the same problem. My problem seems to be the worst. I know I purchased a lemon. So, sad, because I really loved this van. I cannot say that the problem is fixed, I don't believe it will ever be fixed, because not even Buick can actually find the root of the problem... so I am doing my best as a Consumer, to get something done about this problem, I am still paying for this vehicle...which is not worth the money I paid for at all!! These vans are no longer being manufactured after 2006---if you plan on buying a used one. Test the side sliding doors first... or in my opinion, just look for another model vehicle.

worst car ever

Less than 40K miles ....busted hub bearing (which was a result of a factory defect) Rear stbilizer bar was installed through the spring.... Power steering fluid leaking endlessly. DVD player and audio/radio system were terrible. Constant check engine light for the gas cap. Power door sensors go off at random. .......horror show.
