Love this car

Love my car. I’ve had to replace the suspension bags and water pump, it is a blast to drive while still feeling safe. I’ve had problems with the power windows and the door handles and the brake lights.

most expensive car owned thums down

this car tends to have electric problems and as well problems with all kinds of sensors around the fluids... gas was very expensive as if one was driving an escalade or a suburban yet it doesnt have that same reliability

So far so good

I've only had this for a week and it drives nice but it needs a few things. If it only needs a minor fix I'll be very pleased with it.

The BMW X5. Unreliability

The X5 transmissions are very weak! I had a 03 X5 & 05 X5 and both vehicles the transmissions slipped. One the transmission needed whole new one , also the door handles on those vehicles when cold can break off , & are infamous for doors being jammed. I. Like the style they look sharp & are comfortable on interior.. I would only recommend if they have a Excellent warranty to cover bumper to bumper because it's only a matter of time before transmission issues. I've done research and alot of people have same problems , door handles & transmissions.

Great car but pricey

May buy it-handles well , smooth ride, enough room inside; seems like a very sturdy and safe car. Would rather see an option though with less upgrades.

Best luxury SUV for the money

This vehicle is very sturdy, fast & drives very strong in inclement weather and is also good on gas for a truck as well as handling good.

e53 4.8is

Love this model, have owned it twice. The level of power, handling, comfort and practicality is hard to match especially at this price. A real classic!

Be ready for everything to break!

Constantly breaking down. Very expensive to fix. Cheaply made and not comfortable. I'm not sure why BMW vehicles get great reviews. I have had 2 (the other was a 325i. Transmission problems are common. Simple things like a battery going dead are complicated to fix. Good thing for youtube!

Fun but high maintenance!

True luxury sports car in a suv package! Power, prestige, luxury....I could go on and on. Really enjoyed the last 4 years with my X5. On another note it didn?t come without its share of high maintenance costs. That was enough sell it while everything was in tip top shop and the fact I now have a ?FREE? work car to drive. It outperformed pretty much everything on the road in all weather conditions and from a stop light. Bottom line- fun car to drive but very expensive to maintain.
