2001 BMW 740 consumer reviews

November 16, 2023. On my second silver/ black 01 740il in Marin County with 146k miles. First got rear-ended at 200 in perfect condition. Current car at 144k miles has had $1500-3000 per year of typical servicing including brakes, coolant system, engine mounts, struts, and frequent oil changes to keep the original timing chain guides happy. Great V8 torgue and cruising power, super comfort w heated seats, 24-28 highway mpg; 18.5-20 around town. In a town of Vettes, Ferraris, and numerous high-end sleds, her classic, politely bold looks really stand out.

dam good car, just keep up the wear and tare some of my friends went an got them one now lol. The car is just a good car I dam near have restored the whole car. Again just the wear an tare the old owners than do anymore, I guess when you got money you can do that, But mines has 140,000 an its a 2001

She scoots. Only needs a tune-up... Smoothness and solid...that's how she feels I'd prefer keeping the keeper, alas, this world won't allow me to... But, she's on the offering table, to a driving enthusiast. Never failed smog either

This car meets all you needs. Every time you push that pedal your adrenaline goes instantly. Have to experience it to feel it. Love this 740i models.

Wonderful car to drive, owned it for 15 years, driven on long road trips and it is the most comfortable car to drive. She'll do 100+MPH on the highway and it feels like 50. On the back roads handles like my Porsche (almost ;-))

This car has a very sporty steering feel with the M package. It looks outright gorgeous, WAY better than any modern BMW. Come drive a car that was produced before BMWś started to get made cheaper and ¨softer¨.

If you know your BMW then come test drive this car anytime you want! Love the car, runs great, it’s been garage kept. Clean title. You won’t be disappointed.

While our 740 may have some years and miles on it, it is a fantastic car. Yes, we have done big repairs which is to be expected with a power car this age, but it was worth every dime. Current performance is as good as the day it was bought. It's fast, comfortable and a great highway drive car. We'll get a paint job this year to refresh the look as we plan on keeping this luxury BMW as long as possible.

Bought it very cheap and is very reliable. Looks amazing and can?t beat the way it drives. You can?t get a better car at the price point.
