Love at first sight!
This was my 5th BMW but my first 6 Series and clearly the most fun car I have ever owned. I bought my 2007 650 Convertible pre-owned (1 previous owner) with 19K miles in 2010. Here I am over 13 years later and at 225K miles (yes, you are reading that right)... and still in love. I have taken very good care of it and did do an engine replacement a few years ago at 180K miles with a preowned engine because of the smoke exhaust, but was well worth it because I was not nearly ready to let this car go. At the time I believed that was either going to end up being the worst decision I have ever made...or the best. Feeling good about that $8K right now because the car is truly a joy to drive and rides like new. One caution: the run flat tires are VERY fragile and VERY expensive (over $500 per tire). If you are buying this car from a dealer I highly recommend purchasing the BMW wheel and tire warranty program or plan on replacing those tires with a quality non-run flat tire. Magnificent styling with great lines and a quality ride. Have fun!

Buy a good one when you can
I bought mine used in Jan of 2022. Best car value in this category, bar none. $100+k new and can get a good one for 30% of new, the price of a used Accord. The car does everything right and as so many have said, FAST. Mine has a upgrade software so it now claims 495hp. I believe it. The different modes of engine and suspension change the car from a daily cruiser your mom could drive to a race car that handles and sounds magnificent. Only suggestion I can give after looking a while to find a great car is make sure the seller is a car guy and takes car of the BMW engineered maintenance. Meaning, make sure the car was serviced correctly and the owner(s) did not beat the car like a dog. They are tough and well built but even the best cars won't treat you well if you don't treat them well. One more thing, get rid of the run flats and put a good set of Michelins on the car, HUGE difference in so many ways and besides that there is no way anyone will drive on run flats and possibly or likely ruin the wheel. So just pull over and wait for the flatbed to take the car to a tire shop. Bottom line, if you can find a low miles 650 buy it with confidence, huge smiles by the driver (me), great curb appeal, very driver friendly.

2012 650 convertible with m sport
This is my 2nd 6 series. the 400 horsepowered v8 twin turbo is a beast to say the least. Don't understand why you would need more. The cool evenings with the top down and the muted sound of the engine is magnificent. Car was kept in great condition, 70,000 miles and she runs like it brand new. My advice is to replace run flats with summer tires and enjoy the ride

Too many electrical/technological components
This car has a beautiful exterior but complicated interior panel. Working the stereo system still gives me nightmares. Must be technologically astute to drive this

Wonderful Car
I love this car! Maintence is expensive as you would expect from a BMW. I've had a few repairs done, including a $4000 repair for the convertible top mechanism. But when you buy used you take your chances. An oil change is expensive, because it takes 10 quarts of synthetic oil. Also, it requires premium gasoline. But, it runs like a dream, and you feel like James Bond in his Aston Martin when you're driving it. Plenty of power to pass on the interstates, and it will go FAST. After 8 years, everything still works--that good German engineering. And it looks great. I regularly get compliments on its appearance. Expensive to maintain, but worth every penny.

VTo whom it may concern: My name is Jamison Cornel
The car is fun to drive, because its light and powerful (400 hp). The all wheel drive keeps it on road, which provides great handling. Also, the 650i xdrive is very reliable!

Beautiful! Fun to drive but watch out for potholes
Traded in my 2006 BMW 650i convertible for the 2012 version. Still has beautiful exterior design, but the interior is vastly improved. My favorite things about the 650i convertible are (1) it's extremely fast (2) it looks great with the top up or down. I get compliments everywhere I go. Biggest negative is the thin wall tires and rims. I go through one tire per month ($450) on average. Get the tire replacement insurance.

Rims bend easy, and I mean EASY!
An additional $350 a month should be added to your car payment to budget for rim and tire repair/replacement. This is no Exaggeration. When I took it in for service, The service advisor mentioned that it was extremely common. Avoid the 20 inch rim/tire option.
