Best car I've owned (& I've owned lots)
This car is simply OUTSTANDING. Top speed well over 130 mph (I didn't dare go faster), great brakes, nimble and grippy, and that classic BMW "shark nose" styling. And think about this: in 1985, they made a car that gets 18/25 mpg and has a trip/info computer rivalling those on cars today! In terms of reliability: look, it's 33 years old. It'll leak, and there are a couple common electrical glitches. But there are great forums full of helpful advice, it's easy to work on -- and most importantly, the stuff that goes wrong NEVER AFFECTS ITS DRIVING. I've parked this for a year, jumped in, and it fired right up. I've owned some great cars -- MGB, 450SL, Volvo C70 -- and this is by far the best. One of the greatest cars ever built.
