1991 BMW 318 consumer reviews

Bought a used 1991 318is in 2004. Kept it off roads in winters and spent very little on it each season. After 20 years, still has original windshield, p/s pump, water pump, alternator etc, so very reliable if you don't try to beat it up. New suspension, brakes, bushings and catalytic is all I've done. Fun high rev power and it loves the corners. Every year it looks more odd given what the new BMW's look like and how they're equipped, but it's vintage and it gets more comments. Great exhaust sound and usually 650k-700k per tank. If you can find a decent one...get it! The E30 gets more rare every day.

I've always been a BMW fan, but this car is truly amazing. I bought this car a year ago with 300,000 miles on it, yes 300k on the orig. engine!! The car has never left me stranded, it ALWAYS starts no matter what. It now has 327,000 miles, it doesnt burn a drop of oil and still gives me 30+ MPG. There is nothing luxurious about the classic 318, but it will never fail you. I could easily drive it cross-country whenever I want.

this is the best handeling car i have ever owned (and i have owned A LOT of cars) its has a lot of saftey features,and over all i would highley recamend this car
