60 SMILES PER HOUR! GREAT MOJO BABY!

The Austin Healey Sprite MkIII is a great car for budding car collectors. Relatively inexpensive, good investment growth potential, and waaay fun to drive! These cars weigh only about 1200lbs and make for a nimble driving experience. Low to the ground, very quick around curves and that awesome british engine note. Mine has a roll bar on the driver's side (sorry, passenger!) Simple engine (1098cc), easy access to plugs, etc. Dual SU Carbs, easy to work on car. Almost every part can be replaced through Victoria British.com I loved this car and am only selling it because I bought a house and needed new kitchen cabinets and furniture :( Mine is painted with the british flag (Union Jack) motif, just like the Shaguar in AUSTIN POWERS. Anywhere I go in this car gets whoops, smiles, waves and questions. Not a car for shy people! Any car this old will need mechanical work, but most is pretty inexpensive. I replaced the fuel tank last summer, which REALLY helped performance, as the old one was clogging the fuel system. I also replaced the clutch, brakes, water and fuel pumps. Once that was done, the car runs great and gets more looks than much more expensive cars. What's not so good? The suspension is lever shocks, so the ride can be bumpy. I would replace with a more modern shock system if I wasn't selling mine. I have had a couple of leaks from the windshield wipers, that allowed water to enter the cabin when it rains heavily and I turn on the wipers. Just needs some silicone sealer. Not a lot of creature comforts- no radio, a/c or power anything, but that is part of the fun. When was the last time you drove a car with Wind Wings? Driving with the top on is not nearly as fun as when running convertible. Room for a radio, and I already put speakers and a mp3 player in it. Amp in the trunk. All in all, super fun 60's nostalgia, sure to win a car show or two. Not concours but those guys don't even drive their uber-expensive cars. If you actually want to DRIVE a fun car and don't want to spend a lot of cash, this is the car! GROOVY BABY!!
