I've on 2013 RS5 for 10 years.

I've on 2013 RS5 for 10 years. It is the best GT car I have owned. It is beautiful, comfortable and a very good driver in all road conditions. It is not a track car because of it's weight - but that is also why it feels so solid on the road. It's maintenance costs have been average for an $80k (in 2013) German Uber car. That means don't buy this thinking you are going to pay Toyota prices to maintain it. This is a car with a bespoke engine derived from a Lambo. It has a dual clutch gearbox that works incredibly well. Both will require maintenance over time. Regarding the BMW fanboys that posted earlier and complain about tires losing air - not sure they even owned one.

Snake in the grass

Engine overheated each time the car was driven. 2 of the tires would not hold air, even after repaired. Tight cabin, outdated interior, poor acceleration. Do yourself a favor, buy a BMW M, but not from the toy barn.

Grossly overrated

Car is beautiful, but not nearly as fun to drive as it should be. Understeer was an issue, as was seat adjustment. Very uncomfortable ride. Significantly less drivable than the M3, which is a better car in every aspect. Also, couldn’t keep air in the tires, and the engine overheated every other day.

Simply Amazing.

Full disclosure, I've only owned this RS5 for about two weeks so far. That's the only reason I docked a star in reliability. If you do some research you will find that these cars are very reliable, but very expensive to work on, even routine maintenance. I docked one star for performance because there are cars faster and more capable than a RS5, but they are almost exclusively pure sports cars, like a 911. In a straight line this car is a monster, especially at highway speeds. In a canyon it's capable but if the road surface isn't in good shape it doesn't feel as precise as a more pure performance car, like a WRX or a Miata. I bought the car in Southern California and drove it home to NE Oregon and never climbed out of the car sore. My wife and I spent 10 hours in the car on the first day and were able to stay comfortable all day long. This car has an Audi badge and it has the level of comfort you would expect. The fit and finish is excellent and everything is laid out in a logical way making the car easy to use. It has all of the options you would expect to find in a Prestige level S5 plus a V8 engine. Again the car has an Audi badge and it lives up to that. In summary you can probably find cars faster or more luxurious than this car, but probably not both. At least not one that a middle class person can afford. I love this car.

The RS5 is a head turning 450 hp Ferrari-buster!

One of just a few 3 second cars 0 to 60. The understated but stylish sheet metal lulls the exotics then blows them away. Fastest car I?ve ever owned and also the best looking. 450 hp without turbo, super chargers or chips. Beautiful Daytona gray pearl paint.

GREAT CAR WITH PLENTY OF POWER. VERY STYLISH AND COMFORTABLE. Timeless looks. Extremely fun to drive. Handles curves with ease. Maintenance a little pricey but expected.

Best all around car I've had

The RS5 is a unique combination of performance, comfort and all-season drivability. It is fast, yet smooth and controlled with the right suspension settings. The exhaust sound is terrific.

Best car I have ever driven, or probably ever will

This is by far the best car I have ever driven, which might not be a particularly impressive statement, given that I am just 30. But I also think this will be the best car I will ever drive. It is breathtakingly fast. It is amazingly beautiful (even 5 years later). It has been very reliable for me. Honestly, the RS 5 has been amazing.

The new super vehicle

After driving the Pilot, Ridgeline, Highlander, Santa Fe, and several others, the Sorento EX V6 was by far the best value for my money. It is solidly built, quiet, and smooth. The ride is like a Lexus and it handles almost like a sedan. It's just the right size, has very comfortable seats and is loaded with technology! On my first 500+ mile trip, I averaged 28.8 mpg. If you're looking for a new crossover in this segment, put this one on your short list to test drive.
