Balances luxury with practicality.

It's a competent driver's car that hauls kids, camping gear, furniture, etc. Mileage is surprisingly good considering its size and weight at 22 City and 30 hwy! Seats are supportive and comfortable for long trips. It's quite reliable in winter driving and general off-roading. A very good SUV that's capable of doing it all!

Excellent car... service, not so much.

Love the Q5. Nice balance between size, space, power, comfort. Not too big, but big enough. Unfortunately, service is quite average. If you like to be pampered with coffee, water, and a courtesy loaner, even at the expense of good and reliable service, then you will be fine. But if what you are looking for is for a 'ONE VISIT - GET IT FIXED' shop, then Audi North Atlanta might not be the place you want to be at.

Awesome Compact SUV

After driving the BMW X3, X5, and the Mazda CX-5 my wife and I decided on the Audi Q5. Once we drove this it seemed like nothing else could compare.

Great ride, bad drive.

This is an overall great car. It looks great, not too flashy but not too plain and boring-looking. Riding as a passenger in this vehicle is very enjoyable: the speakers are decent (whatever comes free), the seats are spacious enough and ever-so-slightly squishy (unless you're in the sucker-seat, you know the one, middle seat in the back), and the ride is comfy like you're in a large boat. But that is ultimately what I dislike about driving this. It's like you're maneuvering a boat. Anyone who enjoys "feeling the road" or is more serious about handling would not love this car. But they would love being driven in it.

It's a beauty but buyer beware

The 2012 Audi Q5 (2.0 PremiumPlus) was not even on our radar because of its previous reputation and maintenance costs but we fell in love with its size, interior/exterior, sportiness and low mileage on my model. I was not crazy about the 4cyl but felt turbo would be sufficient and I was not crazy about the funky controls. Well here it is one year later and still on the fence about this car. It's a beauty and does have great gas mileage but like other reviewers the entertainment system is confusing, I feel like I am operating an ultrasound machine with the rotary dial! The non-existent bluetooth/wiring in the glovebox for your music is highly disappointing for such a vehicle at it's price point. Other negatives are the brake dust, maintenance costs etc. I did my research and I knew that audi's were expensive to fix but did not realize the poor quality of the factory parts such as brake pads, rotors and spark plugs! Please do your research and compare other 4 cyl SUVs.

Rented this car

I rented this car for the weekend through a car sharing service and it was amazing! I drove on I68 through the mountains of WV and it sure was a fun ride. The car handled so well and did AMAZING going up, down, and around the hills. Best car and most stylish car ive ever driven. Very fun car to drive. When I purchase a car in the fall it will definitely be this one.

Fun and sporty car to drive

Bought this used with only 16,000 miles for my wife. She had a Toyota Highlander Hybrid and most of her driving was highway, so she did not get great gas mileage. Took this out and got 29.8 for highway with the cruise on. I enjoy driving it and now think I may trade my Chrysler 300 for an Audi. Love the solid feel and quiet cabin. Loads of things to learn in this Premium Plus model. But every day it gets better. This has so much more than the Highlander Limited she had before and is more comfortable in the front two seats. Not sure about the back as I have not ridden there. Doesn't look like a lot of room, but it usually just her in the car. The back storage is lower and easy to get things in and out of. Never thought I would buy an AUDI, but it has been great so far and hope it continues to be a great car for my wife...unless I take it from her!

5-star. Period

Purchased 2012 Audi Q5 2.0 with Premium Plus package. As with most people I suspect, the exterior styling is what initially attracted me to this car. Upon closer inspection, the styling is top notch in and out. The cabin is comfortable and high quality. The technology is sophisticated, albeit takes a little getting used to. But the real beauty in this car is driving it. The 2.0 liter engine provides ample power and acceleration, the transmission is like butter, and the all-wheel drive quattro system really gives you the feeling of hugging the road. As a bonus, the gas mileage is impressive when intuitively, you may think otherwise. If this is indicative of the Audi fleet, I'll be back for more. This is simply the best car I have ever owned.
