2012 Acura TSX consumer reviews

Own a 2012 tsx SE. The car is great,but have issues upon start up with a loud rattle lasting for about 2 seconds or so,oil starving the engines VTC (valve timing control). This could be an expensive fix without a warranty, for the cam would have to be changed, and I'm sure any good mechanic would just tell you to replace the timing chain as well, the chain guides, and hydraulic tensioner. I must as I've read on this issue its every model from 2004-2014. The main reason I've seen on this issues is lack of proper oil level kept or lack of oil changes. Over all so far a solid car.

This car has met all my needs.i only drove from wilmington to stateline in South Carolina to make sure I test drive it.its in my yard now

LOVE my TSX ! I bought it used w/ 80000 miles , but the car drives like a new car . Very Solid feeling , handles very well even in the snow ! Very quiet and comfortable. Performance is there if you need it ( 200 HP 4cyl V-TEC ENGINE ) , but gets GREAT gas mileage , I'm averaging 27 MPG in suburban/city driving , I bet I could get over 30 on the highway . Everything about the car is high-end, and the materials and fit and finish are top notch. ( made in Japan ... ) I highly recommend the TSX .

I love my new car. I needed something a bit sporty, but also with four doors. The Acura TSX delivers on both points, plus it's very stylish.

I am surprised by how smooth my car is, even with almost a 150K miles on it. Only major changes were tire replacement, spark plugs, and Electronic Power Steering Module (recall). Still today it rides as if it's still new. Even friends and family who've ridden or driven my car complements about the feel and smoothness of my ride. Only problem I've had was the car just wont break down. LOL! It's a great buy and have not regret it in one bit. I've traveled all the way from far east to far west and between Mississippi and Florida weekly with no issues. Just regular maintenance.

I love my 2012 Acura TSX (Special Edition). A real sporty 4-cylinder. Great on gas. I haven’t had a 4-cylinder since I was in my 20’s.. This car is exactly what I needed..

Runs great. Other than routine maintenance no problems and no surprises. Best car I have ever owned. 80000 miles and runs like new. I highly recommend this make and model.

Bought a used 2012 wagon in 2017 with 45K miles. Now three years later with 70K miles and no complaints. Serviced well by local Honda dealer. Only issues have been cat convertor replacement (which Acura covered under warranty) and Takata air bag recalls. Runs like a dream, plenty of power for me, like the handling and space, 30-35mpg highway.

I've had this car for seven years and it has given me zero trouble!! I've had to do routine maintenance and buy a new battery. That is it. I wish Acura had continued to make this model. There are so few wagons around today.

This car meets all my needs,great with gas mileage, comfort etc. Could not have picked a better car. You cannot go wrong with a Honda or Acura.
