2007 Acura TL consumer reviews

I bought a 2007 Acura TL Type-S in August 2010. Did a lot of research before purchasing and have been very happy with the car. I also purhcased a 2008 Infiniti G35x in April 2010 for my wife. Both cars are fun to drive and each have some benefits over the other. The G35x is AWD and feels a bit quicker. The TL Type-S is also very quick but more comfortable inside with more shoulder roomm. both cars have great audio, hands-free connection works great and GPS is more useful than I would have thought. Both cars are fun to drive, stylish, and will hopefully be very reliable. This is my 4th Acura and by far my favorite. Don't see many TL Type-S in my state....The G35x is a bit more popular. Can't go wrong with either car

This car has heft and solidity. The engine sounds like a baritone, the handling is dreamy and the features are very sexy. However, there are a few minor items of note: I'm a short person and the seat belt cuts me in the neck, even on the lowest setting. I have to use a seat belt adjustment to make it comfortable. The navigation system is outdated by now and not the easiest one to understand and use. Other than that, it's a wonderful car that I intend to keep for a very long time.

besides power and looks this car is a must have for the money. handles great, sound system very nice, has ipod imput, sport wheels, great in highway and prety good on gas.

Whoever said money can't buy happiness should have been sitting next to me last night as I drove away from the dealership with a 2007 TL with 30K miles on it for less than 20,000. I love the styling, handles smooth and feels solid, the toys (navi, voice recognition) are just bonuses. Love everything about this car except the price tag for a new one.

this is the best car i have ever owned. the styling inside and out is better than lexus and the others only upgrade is the navigation which has everything.

I have owned the Acura TL for nearly a year now and this car still amazes me in its comfort and styling. In terms of performance this car still brings a smile to my face during my morning ride to work. It?s simply just a fun and comfortable car to drive. Being front wheel drive I was a bit concerned with its handling but I can say that this car does well on country roads in cut back turns as well as handling mountain driving. If I had any complaint about this car it has to be the head lights and its view for reverse driving (you need the reverse camera). I don't now how many times other drivers flash their high beams at me. Other then that though this car is by far the best car for the money. When compared to BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, and Infinity. Well all I can say is that in terms of reliability, cost, and styling not one of them comes close to the TL. To me the Lexus IS350 and Infinity G35 was just too feminine. I did like driving the G35 but just couldn't see myself in that car. The BMW 3 series was in my opinion over priced and has serious reliabilty problems. Hence why you see alot of used BMW's. For the Mercedes see BMW and add a few grand to its price. All in all the TL is by far and away the best car in its class for performance, luxury, and price.

Have had it 9000 miles so far and love every mile in it. Still smells new and drives that way too. Every option is a plus and the navigation is flawless. Performance, handling, ride, quality and features make this my favorite car. Well done Acura! Oh, also the service at the dealership is bar none the best service I've ever experienced.

a piece of junk, im surprised,i thought acura would have done better i have owned this car for 3 months and have had it in the shop 8 times!!! so basically it is a junk box on wheels i have since than bought a Lincoln MKZ and i am highly pleased, so DO NOt buy an Acura TL it is not worth it, it is awaste of money

I've had my TL for two months and constantly have to fight my wife for the keys. We both love this car. I did a lot of research prior to making this purchase and test drove the Infinity G35, and the Lexus IS. The BMW's and Mercedes had horrible reliability ratings in Consumer reports, so that turned me off to them. The Infinity was nice, but just too pricey when you added all the options the TL came standard with, and the Lexus was just to small for this 6 footer. I was concerned about the front wheel drive, however after driving it, I felt very little torque steer during heavy acceleration, and lets face it...how many of us are going to take our cars to the track. I know the BMW handles better, but for everyday driving...the TL drives and handles great, not to mention it's as quite as a tomb. In my opinion, the TL is the best bang for your buck...and it looks so good.

I currently own a BMW and just recently owned a Lexus. Both are / were fine automobiles but neither car can compare with the Acura TL for overall workmanship, performance plus comfort. The BMW 325C handles great but is not very comfortable. The Lexus has the comfort but handles like a boat. Power, braking, steering, sound system, seating, controls are all near perfect. Wonderful car !!
