2013 Acura RDX consumer reviews

I have a 2013 RDX with 29,000 miles. I purchased brand new so only owner. I perform all required MT at the intervals per the onboard system / manual. For the last few weeks there has been a dull thud coming from the rear of the car when you drive over any road irregularity. Today the dealer MT informed me that I needed a new right rear shock and after I told him that this failure seemed very premature, and considering that the car isn't driven hard, I felt Acura had defective shocks. He then agreed that this is a growing problem at Acura. The cost for a single new shock was quoted at $417.63. I told him that I would shop around for shock(s) and I set up an appointment for BOTH rear shocks for $350 at Les Schwab (KYB lifetime warranty). Later the Acura MT rep offered to replace the failed shock for free. I asked that they include the other shock as we both agreed there is a generic problem. My explanation is that it would be prudent to perform this as preventive MT and not wait until the left shock fails. The Acura MT rep would not agree with this. My intent is get Acura's attention and investigate the shocks and suspension and provide an explanation for why the shocks fail.

This car has lots of room and comfort. You can't go wrong with all the extras on the base model ie. Bluetooth,heated front seats, sunroof, leather seats. This is my 2nd one and I love this one even more than the first.

I like it's styling, features, color, age and price for my needs. I hope to be able to keep and use it for the next 8 years. Enjoyed using online services to make and implement my decision.

A little too small and too expensive for my taste! The car drives well, especially in the snowy conditions! Just asking too much for the age and mileage! Also wasn?t impressed with their CPO warranty.

The RDX wasn't my original focus but it was on the lot and it caught my eye so I test drove it. I was hooked, the car is responsive, zippy, and so easy to handle. It is super comfortable on the inside with a nice layout. The tech package is a bonus. Love this new addition to my family!

I purchased this car because I wanted a SUV and am a devoted Acura fan. And while it is a good car, it isn't great. It's stylish but lacks luxury features. And the drive is only so-so. I recently upgraded to a MDX and the difference is night and day.
