The only reason I am giving this review 2 stars instead

The only reason I am giving this review 2 stars instead of 1 is because the salesman, Duran, was great. Very personable and polite to work with. And the vehicle I purchased was as described. But besides this, BUYER BEWARE!!! I purchased a 2023 Nissan Altima SR on 02/21/2025. If you plan to buy a vehicle from Keffer VW, bring your own financing and watch out for bogus fees. This dealership tried to charge me a $855.50 "Government Fee" and an almost $3,000 "Protection Package that was shown on the invoice. I called them out on it and they claimed the "Government Fee" is to title and register the vehicle. The cost to title and register a vehicle in North Carolina is $94.75. For the same where I live in South Carolina is $115. After I told them I was not going to pay this or for the "Protection Package," the "Protection Package" was removed and title and registration fees changed to what it should actually be. First evidence of FRAUD. The other deceptive practice that they will do without telling you, is if you finance with the dealer, they will jack up your interest rate. I was prequalified with Captial One Auto at an interest rate of 5.75% prior to making a deal for the vehicle I bought. I told the salesman and finance manager this. When it came time to sign the finance papers, I was told my interest rate was 7.25% with a credit score of 820. My credit was pulled from Capital One Auto, Wells Fargo, and Truist Bank as I got the alerts on my phone while at the dealer. I asked if that was the lowest interest rate offered to me and again brought up the prequalification and was told that was the lowest rate offered and that the lower prequalification rate is something lenders will do just to get people to the dealer. The finance manager also informed me the interest rate was the same at 7.25% whether I financed at 60 or 72 months. Unfortunately, I took the finance manager's word on this. After leaving the dealer with my new car, something was bugging me about this. I called Capital One Auto and asked what interest rate I was approved for after the dealer filed my credit application. To my shock and surprise, I was actually approved for 5.75% for 60 months and 5.92% for 72 months!!!! After looking over my paperwork, I then found out the finance manager LIED to me! My interest rate for 72 months was actually 7.49%. The dealer clearly jacks up the interest rate for better kickbacks and does not disclose this to the buyers. These practices are ILLEGAL and plain evidence of CONSUMER FRAUD! I called the dealership back twice within 3 days and spoke to two different managers each time. Both said they would talk to the accounting and finance department when they came in and get back to me. The second dealership manager even texted me his phone number. I texted back the next two days with no response. BIG SURPRISE! I've now filed a complaint with the North Carolina Attorney General's Office Consumer Protection Agency and the Federal Trade Commission. I hope my experience with this dealership will make other buyers aware before shopping here and to make sure you keep an eye out for this dealer's shady practices.

I did buy a car for my 16 year old at Keffer but I would

I did buy a car for my 16 year old at Keffer but I would NOT recommend them to anyone. They go back and forth on price and other services that they want to add to the car and when you finally agree and shake on the final price, they change everything on the contract. If you try to call them, voicemail is always full. If you text your sales rep, you'll get ignored. Nothing about what I've gone through with them makes me feel like they are honest or trustworthy about selling anyone a car. It's all about scamming you into paying more so they get more money.

I purchased the vehicle November 19Th by November 26

I purchased the vehicle November 19Th by November 26 I start having problems out the vehicle. I told Josh Miller that the car was driving funny he was my sales person. He said no check engine light is on. I said no . took the vehicle back to get it serviced. They told me that it was a transmission today. They told me I would have to pay them $4500 to put another transmission in the vehicle that I haven’t had 30 days it’s been sitting on there lot for about two weeks I think that was something that should’ve been handled before the vehicle was sold. You wouldn’t expect this from a real dealership, beware

Do not buy or use service department from this place.

Do not buy or use service department from this place. I NEVER leave reviews but I feel compelled to warn others. I have tried to shop/buy here twice. Sales was so rude and condescending that I went to VW Charlotte and bought there twice. Tried to use service as it is much closer to home and it has been a nightmare. Submitted claims wrong for warranty approval, couldn’t get an adjuster out. Called warranty. Had an adjuster out the next business day and was informed how claims were sent in and why nothing was approved. They didn’t even submit my codes from the check engine light. When asked the service rep wanted to argue. Needless to say it’s been two weeks still don’t have my car fixed. I just want to warn people. Do not under any circumstances use this dealership to purchase or for service. Make the trek to any other VW dealership no matter how inconvenient for yourself and save yourself time money and dignity.

Get an out-the-door price from them before you go in.

Get an out-the-door price from them before you go in. They engage in bait-and-switch pricing on their cars. After a lot of back and forth, their salesman explicitly told me that they advertise lower prices to get people to come in. A $22k car turned into a $25k before they even added any fees in. They didn't even bother doing the typical fee and add-on nonsense, they just jacked the price up $3k. I've got the text messages if anyone from this company cares to know what their salesmen are doing.

I have asked for Corporates information since June three

I have asked for Corporates information since June three days after purchasing the car. The car has a failing battery pack and drive unit and is not drivable after 1 month. No one will answer my calls and they even attempted to call law enforcement after I demanded corporates number in person. Do not buy a car from this dealership if it’s a Tesla for sure because they have to send all cars to Tesla and their mechanics have no clue how to fix anything Tesla at Keffer. They will not assist you with set up, accessories and are down right rude after they make the sell. They pray on women because they know some of us are not as savvy in the car business. This is one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had. If someone knows corporate information for Keffer please let me know. Every time I call they hang up. Terrible human beings. I was told to get a warranty 3 days after purchasing the car because I was not happy about the loud noise from the rear end. Basically I’m screwed by men that would rather get commission than do what’s right. The code history shows they knew the issue before hand. Tesla in Matthews states they send all their cars there to do diagnosis and knowingly sells them with bad inspections. They literally are selling Tesla lemons to obtain the government rebate. Have a blessed day.

I’ve been coming to Keffer for service for 5?

I’ve been coming to Keffer for service for 5?years. Service started out good. Then they went through a shakeup that was like troubled waters. Seems they have worked out the wrinkles. My last visit was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks guys. It’s nice taking your car to a service center that cares and gets the job done right!! The first time.
