PSA: DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT Do business with Lester Raines Honda auto repair shop located in south Charleston wv. Either one of their workers or they allowed someone off the street by leaving my vehicle doors unlocked to go through and steal my personal belongings while my car was in their possession getting repaired and the owner(s) have opted to do absolutely NOTHING to rectify the situation.

Worst Dealership I ever been too
A few weeks ago I went to get some maintenance done on my Honda. I received it back in the condition I did not have it in, when I was driving back to my duty station I was hearing a scraping sound not knowing it was my vehicle I had just got back. I pulled over to the side of the highway to look under I saw my Skid plate dragging down. I called to inform the Dealership I just had service from about the issue which the gentleman who answered said they would replace it for free. 10 mins later the same gentleman called back saying the manager Steve said I would have to pay since the part was damaged prior to service (which it was not when I gave them the car the piece was not leaning down like I got it back). They tried to get me to pay for the part which I declined. I went over the service overview sheet and looked for a notation saying that the part was damaged and needed to be replaced which it did not and I was not verbally made aware of the issue. So I was driving a potentially dangerous car that could of caused an accident in the result of injuring or killing someone cause the piece did break off in the highway. So after I called again explaining that the piece was not my fault that I was not informed nor was it noted theres no way I would know if it was my fault caused I received from them like that. So he agreed to do it for free but the owner also said he did not want me to return due to a survey I did being honest the customer service was good the service was not. So I went to my appointment to get it repaired and talk to the owner to figure out what I did wrong to get banned when nothing I did was at fault. I have no idea if it was my skin color but was already upset before I even got to addressing who I was. After I told him who I was and why I was there he automatically started yelling at me. Blaming for the damage and saying I should of been respectable since I’m in the U.S. Navy and not be a deadbeat. Mind you I haven't had the chance to speak after saying who I was. He was telling me how I can get a lawyer and do what I need to do and he will do the same. Being loud rude when I was be respectful and trying to talk civically to him. Then went back on their word to replace my Ski plate for free because the owner was upset. I would never recommend this place to anyone the owner is rude disrespectful discriminated against me would rate lower than 1 if I could

Lester Raines Honda Service is the best!
I've had Honda vehicles for 22 years. All purchased and maintained by Lester Raines Honda Service Department. David and his crew is awesome! They have ALWAYS been courteous and conscientious to do what is needed and at the best price to me. The people in the service department are so good to work with, they are why I return to the dealership when I need an auto. Thanks!

I've had Honda vehicles for 22 years. All purchased and maintained by Lester Raines Honda Service Department. David and his crew is awesome! They have ALWAYS been courteous and conscientious to do what is needed and at the best price to me. The people in the service department are so good to work with, they are why I return to the dealership when I need an auto. Thanks!

Avoid like several plagues
My family and all friends I can warn about them has done our last business with Lester Raines Honda. My wife attempted to limp a Honda Odyssey van into their shop, but it quit on her less than 2 blocks from the dealership and service bay. She called them asking for a battery jump (it was the alternator going bad) so she could make it the last couple hundred yards to their shop. Nope, 'we don't do that' was the curt reply. Okay, how about a tow. Nope. "We don't do that." (Hard to believe that a dealership that size wouldn't have in-house access to one). Fortunately some kind and decent folks where she had coasted to a stop in front of a tire store were humane enough to call a local tow truck operator and as well recommended a good mechanic that ended up charging about half what Lester Raines Honda would have charged for the same work. The only good thing I have to say about today's dealings with Lester Raines Honda is that their rudeness and arrogant refusal to afford a little out of the ordinary customer service has resulted in us finding: a) a friendly and modestly priced tire store; b) a gracious and abundantly affordable tow truck operator; and c) an auto repair shop that was also friendly, efficient and vastly less expensive than Lester Raines Honda. In sum, we'll never darken the door of Lester Raines Honda again, and will steer all family and friends away from doing business with them -- especially their NON-Service Dept.

Best dealer around!
Great place to buy a vehicle. We have bought about 15 cars from this dealer and we keep coming back. Their service is excellent so I get everything done to my vehicle here. Joe is our preferred salesman and he is awesome. :-)

bought 3rd Honda from Bubby Combs at Lester Raines
I just bought a 2015 Honda CRV at Lester Raines Honda. This is the third car purchased from Lester Raines and each time my salesman was Bubby Combs. I like Bubby because he is knowledgeable about Honda products there is no pressure to buy or close at a pace that I am uncomfortable with. He is patient and very friendly. Also, he has no hesitation about bringing in a colleague who is a subject expert when needed. For example, Finance. I would definitively refer family and friends to Bubby and Lester Raines.

Great Service and Cars I like
I have been with Lester Raines for longer than I can remember. The thing that keeps me coming back is the service. Your service department rates tops for me and one of the great things about it, it that I can make an appointment at 2 PM and not have to get in line at 6 AM or a bit later to get served at who knows what time, as happens with all the auto dealers I have had experience with in the Valley.
